The Aroma Double Burner takes a very long time to heat up and to cook anything.
It took more than an hour to boil 2 cups of water!

This thing is tiny and although not as speedy as a flame, gets plenty hot in a few minutes. Dial in your heat level and it stays pretty consistent. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

I love the looks of it and that the burner is fixed. When I grab it to pick it up the metal grill underneath flexes making a flexing noise, Does not affect looks or functioning. I did a burn in test and the light is a little hard to make out in bright kitchen light. The light goes out as the thermostat clicks off. This functions perfectly. I didn't try to boil water but it gets real hot.It is a good value.

the plate doesn't get hot enough. I wasn't able to fry a small amount of fries or fish, or bring small amount of water to boil. It was frustrating to wait and wait trying to cook something. I returned it and got myseld a single gas burner.
Pros: Easy to Clean, Nice Design
Cons: not powerful enough

Unit will NOT boil water. Testing indicates that after 20 min the unit will get water just to the boiling point and no further. This would be great for HEATING food but NOT for COOKING food. I bought this hoping it would be just like adding a fifth range burner (my range already has four). All four of my range burners can boil water and COOK food. This cannot.
If you are looking for something to heat water, soup or the like then this will work fine. Just be patient as it takes 5 minutes to heat up. If you are looking to cook food look elsewhere

Little Stove that Keeps Going and Going...

Product is compact and fits easily on kitchen counter top. Straight forward operating instructions. I have been using this product for approximately 1 month now. It works fine, my only wish is that it got hotter than it is at the High setting. Also, the 'on' light now flickers on and off, it is not consistently on. I still love the product dispite this. It appears to durable.

Love this. Can set the temp so I keep the coffee hot, but not cooked. Wonderful to pour a cut 30 minutes to an hour later and have it taste fresh and be hot.
