i love my new microwave. i had a sharp for about 10 yrs and it died so i had to buy a new one. i bought a panasonic on sale and the plate stopped rotating in 1 month so i went back to what i know works.

I searched for a long time looking for a microwave that was made in the USA. This product web page stated that it was made in America, which was the main reason I chose it. I was dissappointed to find "made in the Phillipines" on the box when it arrived.

This big microwave does a great job at defrosting, cooking and reheating food, and isn't that why you get one? We love the higher wattage, which cooks faster and more thoroughly than our previous oven. The sensor feature is really convenient - no fiddling around trying to figure how much time to type in to cook a baked potato, it just senses when it's done. Popcorn cooks fully and without burning. We use the "reheat beverage" feature a lot and it works great on this unit. So does the defrost cycle. The control panel is logical and easy to use, with 2 very minor details: there is no "reheat meal" button for a refrigerated meal; and the panel light, which shines straight into your eyes, fails to illuminate the panel. No big deal, just puzzling why they bothered including it. Sharp's carousel technology is great for hands-free even heating. The stainless steel housing is attractive in our kitchen, and the unit's button-latch works fine. The interior is easy to keep clean, and big enough to nuke a large pizza. We do think the MSRP is rather high,, but our last microwave oven, also a Sharp carousel, lasted ~15 years, and the quality of this one seems as good or better. Besides, after we compared prices locally and on several other websites, we found the best deal at Home Depot. We're very happy with our purchase!

Oven does very well on timed cooking, but sensor cooking consistently undercooks contents regardless of what choice is selected. Oven is noisier than older model which was replaced.

Of course my old microwave was over 10 years old and had some sensor features but nothing like this one. we built it into the wall where the old one was located and it looks great! Still learning all the features but couldn't be happier.

Overall performance is outstanding. Got rid of some older 1100 watt units and replaced them with two of these. Not only is it way quieter, but it also is faster at heating. Overall, this was the least expensive most cost effective unit I could find in stainless steel that was 1200watts.

I intended this microwave for mostly reheating, but after receiving it I find myself using it a lot more than that. It has one touch features that I really like. Many of which I haven't tried yet. I went from a 12" turntable to a 16" and "WoW" that's a huge difference when it comes to a roomy interior. I highly recommend this product. I have had no problems with it since I plugged it in.

This oven is easy to use with many features that seem to cook food well. I had a Sharp microwave many years ago, and it was very durable. I expect this to be the case with this model, too. Only feature I don't find useful is the "night light" which is really a night light and not an accent light. Our oven is on a shelf at eye level and you literally cannot look directly at the microwave oven because the LED light is so bright (just like a night light plugged into a wall outlet).

We bought this unit online and the description just doesn't do this microwave justice! it has great features and is very well made and the price was right. It is a bit bigger than we need but the "Keep Warm" feature is fantastic! We just love it!

The key pad numbers could have been a little bigger or brighter for the elderly. The light inside the door could be brighter as well. The oven does work flawlessly with no regrets.

Have had this oven for a week and am amazed at how well it "senses" the cook/heat temps and times for the items I put in it. Perfect rice and great at reheating. Am anxious to discover how well it performs at defrosting meat. The positive reviews are the reasons we purchased this oven.

We decided to get a new stove and microwave since our old stove/microwave combo was about 10 yrs. old. Still worked just wanted new one. Since combos are not sold anymore we had to buy separate units. After researching quite a bit, we purchased the Sharp m/w. What a difference!! The old m/w was only 800w.

I ordered this microwave because I was looking for Stainless. I have had Sharp microwaves in the past and they have always been good quality and lasted many years. This microwave has a good defrost feature. The popcorn feature is a plus. Also, the size is perfect. It's large and it has a turntable that rotates and evenly cooks your food. You can't beat the price!!

We bought this microwave oven to replace our 26 year old Sharp oven that was still working, but had developed some cosmetic issues, It probably would have lasted another 26 years. In all that time, it needed NO service, It still had the original light bulb. My family used it several times a day, every day, for, I'll say it again, 26 years. In that time, we've replaced all of our other appliances at least once, some twice. You can't go wrong with this product. Thanks, Sharp.
