Two Separate Ovens. One Complete Meal. The Maytag Double Oven Freestanding Range lets you bake bread at 425 degrees in the upper oven and lasagna at 350 degrees in the lower oven -- it's all ready at once! Two ovens offer 6.3 cu. ft. of cooking capacity in the space of an ordinary range. The upper oven preheats in half the time -- perfect for smaller meals. And it bakes, broils, toasts and warms, just like the lower oven. Both ovens are self-cleaning with adjustable levels (light, medium, heavy) and feature PreciseBake and PreciseBroil for improved cooking results. The lower oven also features Maytag's Precision Cooking System with Precise Preheat: the oven preheats based on temperature, not just a preset time (like other brands). The easy-to-clean smoothtop cooktop has four radiant elements: two 6 in. elements, one 9 in. element and one 12 in. Power Boost element for big cooking jobs.

"I am reviewing the Maytag Double Oven Electric Range model # MER6875BAB. This range is by far the best we have ever used. It has all the features my wife and I have been looking for as far as cooking surface, ovens, quality, and the ease of use of the controls. The double oven is the one thing we were both looking for. But every time we use it (daily) we find something new that we like. My wife says "it's perfect for baking just one pie with the smaller oven." It dosen't heat the kitchen up like using the larger oven for smaller jobs. We also like the smaller oven for breads, pizza and toasting. The capacity and the convection feature of the large oven is the best! With convection baking, it seems like things get done faster and more evenly cooked. The cooktop is another fabulous feature. The expandable burners work great for different pan sizes and clean-up is a breeze. Nothing to worry about as far as spilled liquids getting down in places we can't get to. The total apperance of the range has gotten us many compliments from our friends and family. It is the focal point of the whole kitchen.
When we look for new products, my wife and I do a lot of research. We look for quality, brand name, style and most important...price. A lot of thought had gone into the purchase of this range. We looked in a lot of stores and a lot of different brands before we decided to buy this Maytag. We both feel as though we made the absolue best deal and the best range/ovens for what we were looking for. My wife and I both like to cook and we like cooking even more now!! We recommend this product to anyone wanting a new range."

"We remodeled our kitchen last summer (2008), totally gutting it & beginning from scratch. I ordered all my appliances & sink from this site. So many things were great surprises since I hadn't seen any of them in person until they were delivered..

This is an awesome range!! It replaced a 1970's double oven electric range.

I had never used a ceramic cooktop or convection oven prior to this one. I couldn't be happier!

1. It's beautiful!

2. Ceramic cooktop cleans up beautifully with much less elbow grease. I still have not used the entire sample cream cleanser that came with it but am on my 3-4 package of wipes. When wiping up a spill while cooking the towel doesn't catch fire. I even melted plastic dishes to a burner, was sure I ruined the stovetop but every single trace of plastic came off!

3. LOVE the burner versatility.

4. Both ovens are capable of multiple functions - toast & broil are the two I use on the top oven most, baking & conv. baking in the bottom.

5. Bottom oven has 3 racks, one is a 2 section rack that pulls out almost twice as far as the others for smooth checking of items to be stirred or basted.

6. Self-cleaning feature was a huge surprise! Never had one that really worked before. The top oven gets super grungy due to the broiling but it cleans up like new.

7. Control panel includes two timers.

8. Both ovens and one burner have 'warm' settings.

9. Ovens 'beep' when preheated & warm up quickly.

I have numerous health issues & am the caregiver for my mother who is bedridden. My goal was to get appliances to make my life easier & this range is perfect! I couldn't have asked for better. I waited a year to write this review. I have nothing bad to say, no disappointments.

If there could be one improvement I could make it would be to illuminate the buttons on the control panel.
