Great Dryer!

I love this dryer. The stainless streel drum and all the extra cylces makes this dryer a great buy. We use the energy saving Sensor Dry Cycle and the clothes dry quickly. We can hear the signal upstairs and the dryer is in the basement.
You may not need the parts the web site suggests.

The dryer has done just what we needed it to do. I dries the clothes. It is very quite. Almost too quite, sometimes you can't tell when it is done. The end of cycle signal is way too quite, I don't think we've ever heard it. The delivery service was awesome. They were special GE delivery people. The install went very well. Overall it has been a great dryer. Time will tell, but so far so good.

I purchased this matching dryer & washer less than 2 months ago and already had to call for repair the first month. First the dryer had a swishing noise and now it squeeks. The lint collector doesn't collect very well and is badly made. Although, it does dry the clothes. I can't believe I need to make another service call on this dryer. The washer: twists all the clothes in a bundle and some clothes don't even get wet! You are also advised to purchase special detergent (HE). The best thing about this washer is it's very quite. I wish I knew what I know now I wouldn't have bought them. I will be contacting GE with my concerns.

Have the ability to go gas or electric. Old dryer was electric. Decided to go with gas for two reasons. Drys better and can be run off a generator if a hurricane knocks out the power. Only dried about 5 loads so far,but the wife already loves it.Only complaint is the signal isn't loud enough to hear with the laundry room door closed. Hope we never have to go the generator route, but in south Louisiana don't count on it. Looking at the matching washer when this is paid off.

I had poor experience with product installation but that is due to human error and not this machine. The dryer is great in doing what it should. Clothes comes out dry and almost wrinkle-free. Cons: Lint gets on the door sometimes (filter being in front of dryer) and gets on the clothes as I take them out of the dryer.

So far this dryer is great, and Home Depot had the best price for dryer+delivery+installation+haul-away by far. The interior is huge! I can dry three washloads at one time very quickly. The moisture sensor works beautifully. The signal goes off the instant the clothes are dry, and they are perfectly dry but not hot. I believe this feature will save a lot of energy over the long haul. Other reviews complained that it is noisy, but it sounds much like every other dryer I've had. I was considering an LG as well, but heard that it's much easier to get parts/service on a GE. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

First off the delivery went wo a hitch. They called, came and installed swiftly. The machine works well. I am getting used to the different way to clean out the lint, but it's fine. The capacity is larger than my old one.

What can i say with free shipping ( all be it via rebate) and free installation. Not to mention the 10% and no payment for a year with my home depot card this can't be beat. The stainless steel drum is the best way to go and I have to say the lent trap in the unit instead of the top where most people store things is the right way to do it. If you have gas and you need a dryer that really works this is the way to go without spending a paycheck. I have never had a dryer actually dry clothes in a efficient manner before.
