This dishwasher has been nothing but trouble. First, it doesnt get the dishes clean (as compared to our prior high end Kitchenaid, around $1100 model). I am constantly rewashing and hand washing difficult cleaning items before they get clean. Second, it has leaked steam since day one. The seal has been replaced 3 times and finally today GE has agreed to replace the unit. I'm not necessarily happy about getting another version of the same model, but i guess thats better than what we have now. I expected better for $1500.

I purchasaed this dishwasher a year agoa and it is not cleaning my dishes or glasses. I use the auto-dispense for detergent and always have liquid rinse dispenser filled too. I have to run the dishwasher on the pots and pan cycle all the time with the "extra heat" setting on too. I scrape plates and rinse before loading. And lately, I have had to run the dishes through twice. Even my lower rack does not get clean. This is hardly energy effecient.
I have had the GE repair man out twice since I purchased this, and he told me that there is nothing wrong with the dishwasher. He said it is my home (80+years old) and the water pressure is not good. The dishwasher does not have a fill sensor so the water fills up on a timer and does not fill up.
I am thoroughly disapointed with this product and I spent alot of money thinking that the more spent, the better the product.
I purchased about a two years ago a GE refridgerator which is so-so too. And the stove in my home is the original GE. I was brand loyal.
I did do my research as well, and agonized over the purchase for quite some time. I will not buy GE again.

Excellent Product...fast effective and actually cleans dishes unlike some dishwashers which only get dishes partially clean...would definetly recommend this to anybody looking for a quality dishwasher at a great price!

I received this GE Profile dishwasher as a gift from my parents, and I love the sleek look as well as the quality of the product. It has a very cool feature called smart dispense. You just pour a bottle of dishwashing detergent in and it measures/dispenses the proper amount for each load! I also love that it is super quiet- a real plus! I couldn't be happier with this dishwasher.

Just had this diswasher installed a little over a week ago and, so far, it is amazing. It is so quiet that you can barely tell that it is running. Options are great and seems to clean well. I had some hesitation about buying this model based on review in Consumer Reports; however, I am pleased with my choice and would buy it again.

"I purchased this product with a little bit of hesitation about GE dishwashers. After having used it for a while, I must say that I was wrong, at least about their high end product. No pre washing dishes at all. NONE. Whisper quiet and very efficient"
