I bought one of these last year for my elderly mother. She LOVED it! I bought 4 more at my local HD. They were absolutely wonderful in all respects, just as other reviewers have mentioned. Until they each started dying ... one at a time. I figured they needed to be "de-furred" - their innards needed to be cleaned of dust & animal hair,etc. Nice idea but there is no apparent means of opening the heater to clean it out. There isn't a filter. I tried using vacuums - all the way up to my big "shop vac" - nothin'. So now I have 4 dead and one almost dead heaters we used to love. At this point, I'm trying to find a similar heater we can clean out.
The folks at HD were great & as helpful as they could possibly be. But they couldn't re-manufacture the heater.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Our son-in-law wanted this for his birthday...I got caught up with Christmas and missed the end of season sales. So went on line to see what was available there. This is not the EXACT model he requested, but almost, and it is sure doing a fine job in their newly finished basement area. It keeps our grand daughter toasty warm; and they really like the look, since they are black/gray, more modern decorators. They are happy, we are happy and it arrived in just a few days from ordering.

My FAVORITE Space Heater

I bought this heater when my daughter came for a visit and I fell in love with it so much that I now use it myself. It heats up the room to just the right temperature (you can adjust it) and I love the remote feature. It can be programmed to do so many things and it is small enough that I don't bump into it at night. The only complaint that I have is that the carrying handle doesn't allow you to get a good grip, but even with that minor flaw, I still rate this awesome heater with 5 stars. I highly recommend this heater!

This is actually our second one of this model. My son lives on the lower level that is cool like a basement in the summer and very cold in the winter. His room is on a cement slab with little heat coming through the furnace vents. This heater is MUCH quieter than other ones we've used. Our first one stopped working at the end of this season after several seasons of very hard use. It was kept on 12+ hours at a time, because that is how my son liked to use it. It really could have been set lower and cycled on and the room would have been warm - he kept it warmer than I could have tolerated! We liked it so much that we immediately bought another one (even after missing the end of season sales)!

Great Heater

This space heater is great I use it in my living room that is 12 x 18 with an open kichten next to it. This heater will heat up the whole room in about 20 min. I use it all the time and I can see a great savings in my energy bill. I highly recommend this product to anyone that likes to stay warm and save a few dollars.
