Got this grill for a great deal back at the end of 08. Now that 2010 has ended and i gave the grill a SOLID 2 years of grilling (at least 2-3 days a week, rain or sun) I am giving this grill a review....
PRICE POINT - Good grill for the price. I wanted something that i could use on a regular basis and be more of a centerpiece on my deck. Other grills in the same caliber were $100 to $200 more. To bad it only lasts 2 years before it falls apart...
AESTHETICS - Grill was in great shape when i got it. Put together no problem and the Stainless steel looked clean with the tank hidden. Could use a bit more support on the non-grilling Preparing side of the grill. Over all a good looking grill.
QUALITY - The first year was similar to a new car. Very nice and clean and had that "new grill" smell. I always kept the grill free of debris and stains and cleaned the dripping tray and burner covers once a week. The problem started about a year into ownership when stuff started rusting... I live in a warm part of California so no major weather. The stainless is the only part of the grill that has not been completely oxidized and rusted beyond use. The drip tray has fallen off, the flame tamers are on there last leg, the warming rack has rusted off and all three BBQ grates have rusted and split to the point i no longer want to put food on them.
Now some of you are saying to youself "you should have had a grill cover on it". I answer back with "the grill was protected by a cantilevered overhang that stopped the weather from getting to it. The rusted parts are INSIDE the grill not the outer shell."
I went to Char-Broil and looked for replacement parts and to replace the warming rack, (3) grates and (4) Flame tamers. The price totaled $168 plus shipping and tax. For a total close to $200. Basically a little less than what i paid for the grill. Just for a few inside parts NOT including the burners or the rusted drip pan...

The grill was not easy to assemble. Because of the size I cut away the box to get at it. Part way through assembling I discovered that the corner of the gril was dented in. I had inspected the box when it was delivered for dents and the box looked ok. The base of the grill was damaged at the factory and still boxed up. We had to hammer out the corner to fit it on the stand. I would never buy another grill unless it was fully assembled. It was incredibly hard to put together. Some of the screws were impossible to get in and tighten. Overall incredibly frustrating experience and disapointed that the grill was clearly boxed damaged at the factory with no regard to the customer.

Have had this grill for over a year and a half and use it often. It has done everything I expected it to do and performed flawlessly. When shopping for a new grill, I liked the idea of 4 cooking burners, a stainless hood, a cast iron grate, and a hidden propane tank, things you normally don't get at this price. I also liked that HD assembled it for no extra charge. While there definately are hotter and cooler areas on the grill surface, I have found this a boon when grilling items that require different heat. I now know just where to place steak, chicken and veggies, although if you are cooking for large parties often, you may want to look for something where heat is more evenly distributed . I use a cover to keep the grill out of the rain so have had no rust issues (although there is not a lot of rain here in Tucson). I would buy another without a thought.

The grill is constructed well except for the stainless steel burners which are impossible to adjust so that the flame is even from front to back. All four are the same, so I have to use all four and cook either on the front or back so that all of the food is cooked evenly, instead of using just 1 or 2 burners.

Works well. Assembly wasn't too difficult, except plan on an hour or so, not the 30 min suggested. I got a deal on mine for less than $200 because the lower end one was out of stock. Well made and substantial. Cooks like a champ.

We bought this grill January 2011, and it is badly rusted already. Only the ouside stainless parts are still good looking; everything on the inside is rusting quickly. We have kept it covered, and even the grill racks inside the grill are rusted to the point that they are beginning to chip apart. I have owned less expensive regular ol' Coleman grills that lasted years longer!

What I love about this grill is - everything! It cooks evenly across all four burners if I desire or can have several different things on it and control each of the four burners which is great when grilling meat and vegetables at different temperature. I didn't expect the side burner to work all that great but I was pleasantly surprised at how effective it is. It is like having a second kitchen on my patio. It also doesn't hurt that the stainless steel looks sharp. Bought a cover for it and stainless steel wipes to keep it looking sharp. Also bought it on sale via online so it the price was good and it shipped right to my door.

The grill was dented on the front and back panel. The grill was damaged. We contacted Char Broil directly to have these 3 items replaced

I have been using this grill for a while now. I hated putting it together. I love that it is easy to clean. It heats up very quick and gets very hot using only 3 out of 4 burners. The trouble is that it has hot spots. It doesnt cook some parts of the food while burning others. But Its good for the price. Not too much available for that price anymore.

Firebox shield on this grill will rust within 1 year even if covered during rain/snow. This is not a good quality grill and often burns too hot with flare-ups. Don't be confused that it lists as "stainless steel" - that's only 1 component (the grill top). This particular manufacturer has lousy warranties and prorates everything such that ultimately you pay more than this grill is worth.

Pros: Porceiain coated mat finish heavy grates and stainless for a great price. Instructions were fairly easy to follow. Look and feel is great. Starter works great
Cons: The tank door scraps the bottom a little. I ended up buying a small aluminum angle iron to hold the cabinet part in place (it was tipping slightly to the side causing the scraping). The grates are not a tight fit so they slide around a little bit.
Other thoughts:
Grill cover says it needs a 55" but my 55" doesn't fit well. Get a 60". It might also be a good idea to use lock tight on the screws when putting them together.

The construction of this grill is very flimsy. It is not sturdy at all. The grill was delivered damaged. I ordered a replacement grill and it was bent also. The materials are just not very good quality.

I bought this grill at my local store. They had it marked down to $150. Due to the fact that the original grill grates where missing but they gave me grates from another grill. Good grill get's hot extremely fast, almost to hot.

I ordered this grill because of the way it looked but when it arrived it looked nothing like the picture online. Also I have already had to call the company because of the electrode that came for the side burner was not working.
