Gitcha one,

"I bought this unit yesterday. So far, really good unit, quiet and seems to be well built. I compared to several other brands and for the price I settled on this one.
I must say I liked the fact that the kenmore had a feature wich stopped the fan when the compressor stopped...SURPRISE...... so does this one.....It would have stopped me in my tracks in my comparrison shopping had it been listed in the features and description on the website. I'm sorry to say that someone dropped the ball on this one when listing features. I was very happily surprised to have found the feature by accident . My biggest complaint about shopping on line is the LACK OF A COMPLETE LISTING OF FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS.

Very happy with this purchase...,

"We have had this air conditioner now for about 4 weeks, and have been completely happy with it. It is installed in our dining room and we have a fairly open floor plan on our first floor - it cools the whole space (about 800 sq ft) easily. We didn't have any of the assembly problems I read in previous reviews before purchasing this. The remote is handy, and it's nice to have the energy saver and fan options as well.
I have to say, though, that the reason I gave this 4-stars and not 5-stars is that it is a little loud. Not bad at all if you're not too close to it, but I wouldn't want to watch TV with it in the same room or anything. In fact, we tend to turn it off while we're eating dinner (in the room the A/C is installed in) because it's a little too loud, and a little too cold if you're sitting right next to it (the latter could, of course, be fixed)."

Great Air-Conditioner,

"Air-conditioner was fairly easy to install. Did 95% of the work myself. Only had to use two people to slide unit in casing. Unit is very quiet and smooth running. Was able to cool entire downstairs within a couple of hours. I have fans to move the air from room to room so it does not have to work hard. I keep air-conditioner on low speed all the time set at 73 degrees. No problem for unit to keep downstairs comfortable. The only problem I would like to mention is the bracket nuts. You cannot tighten them correctly as they slip. You must use your own "regular" nuts so brackets can be secured properly."

Very Quiet A/C Unit,
August 2, 2009
By Chuck7676

"I purchased this A/C unit for a colonial home to replace a downstairs window A/C unit. The unit was easy to install.
Pros:
1. Quiet (sounds as loud as an oscillating fan on high)
2. Gets the downstairs cold. The downstairs is 800 square feet (center staircase colonial) and the downstairs feels like there is central A/C.
3. Slide in chassis. Installed the chassis with my own braces. Then slid in the unit.
4. Slinger fan helps remove water from drip pan to ensure efficient operation by evaporating the water.
5. Remote control, digital temp setting, washable filter.
Cons:
1. Have to buy your own support braces (the ones in the box are 3" by 2", not nearly large enough). I don't mind buying my own braces.
2. I've only had it for one day and can't give any long term feedback.
3. Need 230V 15 Amp outlet (not a problem for me because the previous owners already had one installed).

Keep your receipt,
June 8, 2009
By kdbdnc
"Great Airconditioner, cools really good . Only had it one year and doesn't cool anymore. The compresser keeps acting like it wants to kick on. Because it was an LG brand didn't think we would have to worry about it breaking down, so we didn't keep up with the receipt. So if you get one keep up with your receipt!!!!"

"Unit was easy to install and very nice to operate. Overall good performance and not too loud. You will need some help with moving it as it weighs in at 112lbs. I do like the remote control, it works like a charm."
