Very Quiet, however,

"After much research and a need to replace our leaking dishwasher, we decided to purchase the LG. We have had it for about a month now and here are some things I can share.

The Pros:
*VERY quiet
*The top and sides are enclosed in metal, not just wrapped in insulation like other dishwashers
*It seems to be a very solid, quality unit.
*It is a very clean-lined, good looking dishwasher.

The Cons:
*There is NO clean indicator. You power the unit on to run it and it powers off when it is done. You would think a dishwasher at this price could at least have a little green light or something to indicate the dishes are clean.
*You can't really fill it as full as they say (unless you pre-rinse). The tines are very close together and if you have any sauce or such on the dishes or bowls, they are too close together to get clean.
*It takes 2 hours to complete the normal wash cycle.
*There is no quick or light wash option (however you can do 1/2 loads by loading the upper rack only and choosing that option.

P.S. The dishwasher is sold as White on White finish, but the white dishwasher does not have a white handle. It is a matte/brushed metal finish. I have satin nickel knobs on my cupboards so it matches quite well. Just FYI if you really want an all white dishwasher."

Worst Machine I've ever owned,

"Bought this machine around Labor Day 2006, so I've had it for just about 5 months. The machine is quiet, but that is it's only plus. The adjustable rack in the lower part of the machine is a waste of time and design - it doesn't adjust. The dispenser uses the lowest quality plastic that could possibly be found. The machine leaves grit all over all the dishes - and we don't put gritty dishes in the machine so we have no idea where its getting the grit from. It bakes on cheese, guacamole, ketchup. It's just the worst machine ever. Get any other brand, you couldn't do worse than this brand. I'm stuck with it until it dies - or I kill it!"
