Solar Powered Motion Sensor Outdoor Light, White

Adding safety measures to your home doesn't have to involve expensive installations and a hefty increase in your electric bill. Keep your home safe using the sun's free solar energy by setting up the Solar-Powered Floodlight. This motion-sensing light is triggered when you enter its 23-foot range, so it can light your way without staying on all night. The pre-installed rechargeable battery powers the Solar-Powered Floodlight, so you won't need to replace batteries constantly, and it will even work during power outages. There's no electricity needed to power the Solar-Powered Floodlight. With no wires to run, you can install this solar light in minutes. A 14-foot cable between the solar panel and the light lets you place the security light where you need it while allowing the solar panel to be installed facing the sun. This solar light will even work in cloudy weather, up to two weeks without any sunlight!

Wonderful Light

We purchased this light to replace a dual halogen motion light that burnt dimly all hours of the night and only came on brightly when the PIR detector went off. While I agree this light could use another lamphead for covering more zones it is great for the money. Before you give it a poor rating do your research; I've converted my whole house (3,600 sq ft) to solar power so I know about what to expect. The lamp is 15 watts and burns in 30 second incriments but the battery has enough power behind it to run the lamp on a continuous cycle of 2+ hours, not bad for an inexpensive solar light! Also, you could always be like me and put in a larger battery if you want to put it in a high traffic area; careful not to exceed what the panel can charge though.

Although this is a very good light, it would be better if it was a 2 zone light. With the capability of covering 2 areas at the same time.

No, I do not recommend this product.
I left this light a week to charge because it would only come on 1 time per night maybe 2 when I took my dog outside. I live in Florida where there is ALOT of sunlight and even after charging for a week STILL coming on maybe once if it feels like it.
