"HD did a very nice job with the install. They dispatched GE to actually hook it up while HD did all the heavy lifting and removal of my 16 year old GE dryer.
They installed a new gas connector as part of the install and were done in 30 mins or less.

I like the dryer very much. It is quiet and has a setting to automatically sense the dryness of the items. When done, the items are just at the stage where they would be getting warm/hot and begin to shrink or wrinke. This is awesome since my old one would just blast away and everyhting was heated until the timer ended.
I would recommend this dryer especially at the price offered. As mentioned above, I had great luck with my old GE.
The only downside to this is the drum in made of a strong plastic material. oh well, everyhting is plastic now....
The dryer is also smaller on the outside as compared to my old one but the inside is at least as big"

"We purchased our gas dryer a couple of weeks ago after ours died. Got it on sale with free delivery and old pick up, cannot beat that. It's not a top of the line dryer by it really works great. Has a great feature to get the wrinkle out of dress clothes and works great.. Also has a fluff feature for the towels that also works great.. The only down side it is not an energy star unit. But I would highly recommend this dryer.."

"This thing does exactly what i need and when I need it. No its not the best Dryer out there but for the price and free shipping and if you buy the gas hook up the delivery guy will hook it up for you for free. I didn't buy so i knew he wouldn't and he also said had i bought it he would of. I love gas dryers never liked electric just my preference. Electric is cheap to me that is why its in Apartments and such. I would recommend to anyone who needs a huge Drum that wants to get clothes dried in the allotted time. Also don't worry about the machine smell it will fade and not effect your clothes."

"I bought a front loader washer last year and didn't need a dryer...... at that time! But my 10 year old dryer needed servicing AGAIN, so I opted for something that had to be more energy efficient and new. This dryer can handle my BIG washing loads, much cheaper than the "matching dryers" that they sell for many of the front loaders and drying is quicker, with less wrinkles.
I also opted for Home Depot installation, which was fantastic. I got new vent tubing as well, which is not only excellent, but much, much better than the one I had for 5 years. Less fire hazard and less blocking hazard.
I bought all my kitchen appliances this year from Home Depot as well as installation services. I am thoroughly impressed, and it takes MUCH to impress me!
This dryer will NOT disappoint!"

"This dryer works very well. Settings are simple and clothes dry quickly and evenly. I bought this dryer on sale and the price was very affordable. One small issue - the lint screen is positioned and shaped so that pieces of lint fall onto the floor when the door is opened."

"After 18 years, my old dryer still worked but the timer was shot. The image of my house burning down due to an unstoppable dryer forced my hand to buy a new one.
I really like this one! It has a light inside the huge drum so losing a sock is definitely out of the question now. The end of a cycle has loud buzzers that announce a dry load, which also can be turned down if operating at night without disturbing anyone's sleep.
I'm very pleased with all of the different drying options available for different types of materials. The best part is how big it is, and it still fit into my basement without having to move any walls!"

"I bought this dryer along with a GE washer. Let me say I could not be more pleased with both items. I had the dryer deliverd and installed and was very impressed with how quickly the installers got the job done. The dryer dries the clothes very quickly, has a very bright interior light, and a large capacity. It is quiet and the volume of the end of the cycle buzzer is adjustable. If you are on a budget and want a fantastic dryer, I recommend this model."

"Finally a new dryer after 33 years, this unit is very well built, inexpensive and quiet. The only thing I would want to note to potential buyers is, the venting. The rear cabinet of this unit extends 2-3 inches beyond the white portion.
Overall...very satisfied with our purchase."

"We bought this GE dryer to replace our old GE dryer that lasted 11 years, it was starting to show its age and have a few problems, so the new dryer was on sale and free delivery. This dryer is much larger than our old dryer, the drum is much larger and the back of the dryer has a bump out that is about 3-4 inches past the cabinet of the dryer, this required a reworking of the exhaust venting, this may cause the dryer to be farther away from the wall than your old dryer. I was able to rework the vent in my situation to make it fit like the old dryer was. Something that is not mentioned in the specifications is there is a light inside the drum when you open the door, kind of nice to be able to see inside the larger interior. The end of cycle buzzer is nice and being able to turn if off if going to bed at night with a load still in. GE has labeled this dryer as "Heavy Duty" not sure what that entails its not described in the specs either. All in all this is a nice upgrade to the basic dryer we had previously. Here hoping for another 10+ years of trouble-free performance."

"We have had the dryer for about 2 weeks. I'm very pleased with our choice. I had a few friends suggest GE dryers.
This one comes from the plant in Canada where they make the Fischer Paykel basic dryer... Had all the things we wanted AND the signal turn off knob - no bells going off when you put in that last load at night!!! Drys accurately (I like it half way between more and less dry). Yes, you have to turn knobs for every load, but fancy electronic/one touch controls are not worth the extra $$ for me. We got it on sale for just under $400 plus a rebate for the delivery. It's a Home Depot exclusive model (our local appliance store had one with the same features but smaller capacity for $35 more) so you just have to watch their sales."

The ability to turn up or off the end cycle buzzer is a plus especially if you put on a load at the end ot the day and go to bed. Overall I am very pleased with the quality and quietness of this product. I am now a GE appliance fan and as I replace older ones I only purchase GE because of their great quality and value."
