The Pleasant Hearth Dexter Glass Fireplace Door is featured in a high heat, powder-coated black finish that enhances a traditional masonry fireplace hearth. This one-piece frame construction is designed as a surface mount and sits outside the fireplace opening against a flat surface. A Glass Fireplace Door assists in reducing heat loss or cool air loss up the chimney by as much as 90% which equals a year-round energy savings when the fireplace is not in use. Pleasant Hearth Fireplace Glass Doors all come with easy grip handles, hidden damper control knobs for air flow control, and heat-resistant thick insulation. Always keep mesh panels closed and glass doors open when fire is burning in fireplace. For masonry fireplaces only; not for prefabricated. Made in the USA.

Work as described. Hard to go wrong here. Just measure and buy the right size. Visit the manufacture's web site for a great deal more information (pleasant hearth). Assembly is not difficult, just read the instructions. You can view them ahead of time on the manufacture's web site if you are concerned.

We swapped out our outdated brass fireplace doors and inserted a gas log set with these new doors to make this simple fireplace transformation complete. What a big difference! The only knock - my wife did say that this looked pretty plain-jane. We have a rather large brick surround (2 stories) and it's possible that one of the more intricate door options would've been a better choice. That said...we didn't want to go "over board" and these fit our style nicely. Glass doors open all the way, very nice grate inside, and easy to install. Depending on your fireplace, you may have to play with the bottom brackets in order to secure, but all-in-all very easy set-up.

This unit is so easy to install and the cost was so incredibly economical. It looks absolutely stunning on our moss rock wall fireplace. It has rejuvinated our 32 year old fireplace, the black glass and easy open screen doors give it an updated look. If you are in the market to update the look and effeciency of your fireplace and need or want to save money this is the unit. We have had numerous doors on our fireplace through the years, this one is byfar the least expensive but the best looking! The price and ease of installation and use is an added bonus!!!!!

So very pleased with the quality and look of these fireplace doors - the black matte finish is very 'in', and the glass and mesh doors are heavy and seemingly of high quality. It was very easy for my husband and I to install. Even not on sale, this is a very good value.

This is a very simple and sleek looking door...exactly what I was looking for. Installing it by myself was a challenge, I would definately recommend having help! One person is needed to hold the unit while the other screws it in place. I was able to do it by myself but it took a lot of contorting around in uncomfortable positions. The instructions are initially overwhelming....I just didnt understand them at first but once I started working with the pieces it became quite simple.

This door was very easy to install and enhanced the looks of our older average looking fireplace. I love the ease of opening both the glass & screen doors, so much better than the old sliding screen! Good value and am very pleased with the purchase.

The unit is easy to install even if you are a novice weekend handyman. Pay attention to the side connectors cause they can be a little confusing to anchor in place. Could have used more insulation but spray insulation solved the problem.

Before buying this I had been holding off on buying because the same style of product sells for double to tripple the price at other stores. We used to have a big heavy metal gate to stand in front of the fireplace. This is safer, better looking and very easy to install. Took me 15 minutes to assemble and install.

We recently purchased these doors for a fireplace in our basement. They are very good quality and easy to install. When people come over they comment on how nice the fireplace now looks. The smoked glass is nice because it hides the interior of the fireplace when we are not using it. The sturdy screen doors are great because our fireplace is at floor level. We purchased another set of doors from this manufacturer and are just as happy with them.

I was dubious as to how easy the install of these doors would be. I've definitely had products that claim to be easy but then something about my house makes it decidedly not easy to install. But this was in fact EASY, and FAST and it looks GREAT. :-) Four screws and its attached very solidly... no more cat walking in and out of the fireplace this season.

We had these delivered just before Christmas. They were easy to install, they look great and they were one of the cheapest available. Price was not even my big motivating factor, but they looked as good as a lot of the more expensive ones. Their simplicity shows off the real attraction, the fireplace. They look and work well. We received a lot of compliments on them.

We recently purchased/instaled the firplace doors and were surprised at how sturdy the doors were for the money! The black finish was solid and the doors themselves very easy to install. All mounting brackets sturdy and well designed.

For the price, you can't beat these glass doors. Super easy to install, very sturdy and well made, they look great on our brick fireplace. Shipping from homedepot.com was much faster than I thought it would be and a very reasonable price. I highly recommend these black glass doors.
