Actually, make that three!
The first amazing thing is that this battery fits the two Makita drills that I bought in 1987, more than 25 years ago.
The second amazing thing is that Makita cordless drills are so well made that I am still using them 25 years later.
The third amazing thing is that my Makita drills saw daily construction site use for 12 of those 25 years and that I am only on my third pair of new batteries. Makita seems to have found a souce for NiCd cells that are bombproof. The original batteries lasted nearly ten years. The second set still hold sufficient charge for casual home shop use. I bought this third set for Justin Case.

Best batteries for Makita 9v Tools

The 9v NiCad replace the 9v NiMh batteries that I bought previously. The NiMh didn't keep a charge and died very abruptly after being charged. I bought NiMh because I thought that they would be better than the original NiCad. But the NiCad have proved to be much better because they keep a charge and are ready to use when I need them. They keep their charge for months when not in use.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I'm glad to see that Home Depot is restarting to carry this item again. At least my store hasn't had them for a long time. The tools out last the batteries.

Had trouble finding the right battery as this is an older tool, and didn't want to drive all over to find it. Pulled up Home Depot online, compared prices and found the best value was here. Ordered, arrived without delay, just perfect!
