I purchased this dryer about a month ago, and it has been wonderful. The dryer capacity is huge and it runs relatively quietly. We have a very small laundry room and struggled to find a washer/dryer that would fit the small space that was not an apartment size, and this not only fit our small space but had a bigger capacity than most regular dryers.

The first one I got did not work. After some effort by GE to fix I contacted home depot and they came through like a champ. Got me a replacement in 2 workdays. The replacement unit has worked flawlessly for several months. The large capacity reduces wrinkles even with the de-wrinkle cycle turned off. The alarm is adjustable from off to loud enough to be heard throughout the house.
We like the white drum better than black drum our old dryer had. It makes it easier to see if something got left behind. The light inside is a big help for that too.
The lint trap is flat and sloped in toward the dryer. Sometimes lint will roll off it past the trap and into the exhaust when you remove it to clean it. Just have to develop a knack to catch it or grab loose lint before pulling out the trap.
The large capacity is achieved partially by having a bump-out on the back. It's not a problem, just causes the dryer to be an extra 3-5 inches deep than the older dryer, but well worth it. It's also a lot lighter(weight) than my old dryer.
It's a lot quieter than the old dryer too. When the door on laundry room is closed and there's nothing inside banging around, like a load of towels, I can't tell for sure if it's running or not. I have to open the laundry room door to be sure. (I have a noise reduction door on the laundry room so that may contribute, but it is definitely quieter than the old dryer).
If you're looking for a large capacity dryer this one will suite you well.

I really like this dryer. The setting options work nicely for our household. The opitimal setting seems to do the trick nicely and promises energy savings.
The only I don't like is the lint collector is just below the door. You'll need to clean the collector before removing yoru clothes or you'll run the risk of transfer back to the clothing. It's a design flaw but not a deal breaker.
I would suggest this product to all my family and friends. GE seems to be doing a good job.

Good dryer, buzzer is terrible

Settings are accurate, clothes get dried in reasonable amount of time, very easy to clean out lint vent, it is even an attractive design for those who care about such things. The buzzer is an annoying clangor that upsets the entire household; in our opinion it is best to leave it turned off.

I purchased this dyer (except 6.0 cu ft) and I was very surprised at how well I liked it. I have a small closet to put my dryer in and was unhappy at the variety of what was available. I choose GE because it because it fit and it looked OK. It is great! The only thing I don't like is that The buzzer adjustment does not allow the buzzer to lower in sound as much I would like. Dries great and very quiet besides that buzzer.
