Exactly what we wanted!,

"After doing a lot of research on dishwashers, we decided on this one to replace our 20 year old Whirlpool. And what a great decision! It's quiet, was super easy to install, and does what it is supposed to do - wash dishes. We couldn't be happier with our purchase, and like others who left reviews, we too got this on an appliance sale."

Does an okay job,
December 15, 2007

"My GE Nautilus dishwasher (NEVER did a very good job and was very noisy, but was cheap - $160) was recalled because it was a fire hazard. They gave me the option of having the JetDry dispenser fixed or $150 towards a new one. This dishwasher is much quieter and actually washes the dishes without too much rinsing on my part. But I do seem to be having a problem with the soap dispenser not emptying. A wet lump of dishsoap is in the dispenser at the end of the cycle and I wonder if any is getting in the wash water. I'll have to check out the manual to see if I'm missing something. This model was rated pretty well on Consumer Reports. Because it was on sale, after I get the rebate, I'll have spent $230, which includes tax on this new one. Not too bad."

GLD5900 GE Dishwasher,

"Easy to install. Easy to operate. Well rated by Consumer Reports and I would concur with their rating. Quiet. Light wash cycle, which is nice for regular, not heavily soiled dishes, with a very short cycle time-approximately 36 minutes without heated dry. Energy Star Rated. Seems like an excellent product for a $400 dishwasher. I actually purchased for $360 on sale."
