Very good dryer,
October 3, 2009

"It has been a month since I got this dryer and it works fine. I should say that the installers require 34 inches for depth - for the vent installation if you are putting the vent in the back. This is something that it is not well documented in the specs- I should say that the sales lady at Home Depot was so helpful and it was not her fault. i had to buy the vent kit ($85 value).
I also bought the matching washer - which leaves the clothes not very wet. The dryer takes less time and someother people have said the dryer detects when the clothes are dry enough to be removed. In my case, since I live in a condo and the units are stacked together the dryer tends to shake a little bit (that is the only thing that I find a little annoying) but other than that I am very happy with it.
I recommend that you clean your house vent ducts - I found a product called LintEater i which allows you to clean the ducts and that is helping in lowering the amount of drying time.
I would recommend this washer/dryer. Price was also excellent at Homedepot. I bought it on sale at $538. great value.

Best purchase..,

"I replaced a clunky dryer in my new home with this model. It's quiet, efficient and performs beyond expectations for the money I spent. I'm quite happy with the machine: it's got a good range of drying cycles with a manual setting to set time and temperature individually.
Dryer has plenty of room within. Absolutely the best dryer I've owned.

"I can't believe how great this new dryer is. We are a family of 10. We bought this dryer as a second dryer. Maybe, just maybe, it would help us keep up with the ever mounting laundry. Well, scratch that idea. We ended up selling the first washer and dryer because this new set is so efficient. It cut our drying time in half. This one dryer is all we need. Highly recommend!"

Well Worth It,

"I purchased the washer and dryer set last year and can say with a family of 5 it has passed it's test and holding strong. This dryer is a great drying machine. I like the setting's on it and also that if it sence that the clothes are dry before time is up it will stop it and will not over dry or shrink the clothes. I like also that it light up inside so you don't leave anything inside of it. This is a well priced dryer and works very well. Wife love the set. Good luck on shopping, hope I helped with your decision."

Great Dryer,
March 30, 2009
By waterfallsusan

"This dryer is great. Very quiet, and has several different options for drying. I especially like the high and untra low settings. The sensor works very well. You put the clothes in and the machine turns off only when they are dry. The damp-dry alarm is really helpful for mixed loads so you can remove the lighter stuff that dries faster. It has all the options I want in a dryer. And it's nice-looking too. The alarm that goes off when the cycle is done is so pleasant, especially when compared to the annoying buzzer on my 19-year old dryer that was replaced by this new dryer."

Love this!,

"I've had this dryer for two weeks; the first one they delivered did not work so I had to wait another week; that's why my washer review says three weeks and dryer says two. Call me silly, but my favorite thing about this dryer is the music it plays when it comes on and when the cycle ends. Such a cute touch! You can turn that off if you don't like it. Or turn the volume down. I really like the lint filter location and configuration. Really easy to get out, not really long or deep like the old dryer I had. I did not get the pedestals; too pricey. Plus, the old dryer was front load, so I had to bend down for it anyway. This dryer senses the load size and water content and calculates dry time based on what you tell it. You don't have to try to figure it out. It lets you know what time is remaining. And you can pause the cycle to remove items that you don't want to be as dry as the others. I use that very often; it would be a real pain to separate by dry time and do several tiny loads otherwise. The design is clean and operation is very simple; I didn't even read the book. Matter of fact, I never even saw where the delivery guys left it for a week afterwards. You get a reminder to clean the filter at every load; handy but not really needed unless you are absent-minded. I like that I have the entire top of the dryer (and the matching washer I bought) to fold clothes. No control panel on back in the way. This looks so good in my laundry room. Word of warning; this is only available in white. If you are like me and not willing to pay $150 for a color anyway, this is fine. Since the washer does such a super job of removing water, I have less dry time to deal with, ergo, lower electric bill. I love that, especially nowadays. You will love this dryer; trust me, it's super great."

Dryer,
February 8, 2009
By Avery
from Port Orchard, WA
"I have found this to be the most difficult dryer to use. I have bought 4 washer/dryer sets in the last 40 years and the last set was a front load set.
This dryer doesn't dry on one cycle. I have to "play" with it to get a load to dry.
Additionally, the dryer alarm isn't adequate so you can hear when the dryer is done drying.
I have been terribly disappointed in this product.

quiet dryer,

"I just bought this dryer with the washer recently and love it..Its so quiet..We had a dryer that was almost 30 yrs old a GE and it was taking almost 2 hours to dry our clothes, so we bought the new set..It's a lot more quieter than our old one..Love the noise it makes when its being turned on..No complaints..I did notice when you do turn it on, the check lint filter light blinks and thats nothing to worry about, its just a reminder to check the lint filter and clean it..You can still use the machine buy choosing the cycle you want..Takes 30 min to dry clothes.. Big difference to 2 hours...Easy to use..Great product.."

Love the new dryer,
December 8, 2008
By Redfish

"installed 12/5/08 (after being without for 10 days) and immediately ran 7 consecutive loads ranging from kids clothes to jeans/towels. Dries clothes very well at medium heat, full load in about 50-55 minutes. I like the setting options and the musical ditty when the cycle ends.. I could bump up the heat to reduce the cycle time but we have basement laundry and I don't stalk the machine waiting for it to finsh. It's a little noisier than the washer but an improvement from it's replacement. Overall I am pleased with the purchase and the price, sans bells & whistles on the more expensive units, was right. Oh, I'm impressed with the lack of lint. I barely had a trace after the 6th load even after 2 loads of towel which usually leave enough lint to re-coat a sheep."

Horrible Dryer,
November 10, 2008
By Chris2550

"We purchased this dryer in December 2007, and have had multiple problems with it. The first problem happened six months after we purchased it, and it started making funny noises, and not functioning properly, so we had it serviced, and the lent protector broke in half recently. I highly recommend getting the extending warrenty coverage on this item. Its sad because for the price you think that they would make a dryer that could last for years."

Nice machine,
October 11, 2008

"I recently moved to a new house and needed a new washer and dryer. Due to high water usage costs, I was looking for a front loader to save water. So I wanted to have a matching dryer. I did some research on the web and decided on the LG combo. I have not regretted it at all.
It does an excellent job and seems to be much more gentle on the clothes than our previous machine. The lint filter on most loads is still clean when done. This wasn't the case with my old set.
When using the normal cycle on the washer, the spin cycle does an amazing job removing water. The clothes are merely damp when moving them to the dryer. I feel this saves me money on the drying cost since it takes much less time to dry now than with the old machine.
Overall this is an excellent machine.

Lint Must Be Vaccuumed Out,
August 2, 2008
By mmw123
from Dallas, TX
"This dryer worked great a few times until the drying quality decreased after a month. We figured out that if you vaccuumed out the lint holder crevice (take the lint screen out and vacuum deeply into the hole) it worked fine again. We've had to do this once a month and had no problems with it. We do 1-3 loads of laundry a week. We love how this unit is quiet, has several preset drying options, and wrinkle control. It works great."

Only dries small loads,
March 4, 2008

"I love the fact that this dryer stacks but the dryer sensors seem to be a bit faulty. If I put what I consider to be an average size load in the sensor dry cycle will leave it damp. Only small loads will dry completely. Otherwise it's great!"

GREAT FOR BIG FAMILY,

"WE PURCHASED THIS LAST WEEK TO REPLACE A STACK UNIT. WE USE IT EVERY DAY, AND THE DRYING TIME IS GREAT.
LARGE LOADS DRY IN 1/3 THE TIME AS OUR OLD DRYER.
IT ONLY TOOK 48 MIN. TO DRY A LOAD OF TOWELS.
WE ALSO GOT THE MATCHING WASHER.
HOMEDEPOT WAS GREAT IN MATCHING A LOWER PRICE AT A LOCAL STORE, THE INSTALATION CREW SET IT UP IN NO TIME AND WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL.
ALL IN ALL A GREAT EXPERANCE IN SHOPPING."

just love it!!!,
January 20, 2008

"Very quiet. Sensor dry works really well. If you do sweater or other heavy things on delicate, you have to add more time NOT more temperature for the cycle. It only requires one button to be pushed one time for perfect delicates. Has a manual dry cycle so it can be set anyway you want. On regular loads it takes 43 min. to dry and clothes come out great. Minimal shrinkage. No problems so far. Very reasonable compared to other front load dryers. We will probably get the matching washer when we need it."
