5.8 cu. ft. Extra Large Capacity Gas Dryer

The Auto Dry feature on the GE 5.8 cu. ft. Extra-Large Capacity Gas Dryer uses thermostats to monitor air temperature and reduce fabric wear to help save you time and money. The DuraDrum dryer drum offers dependable and durable operation, and the Quiet-by-Design sound reduction system reduces operational noise. The dryer can be converted to use LP gas with an LP conversion kit (not included).

PERFECT for the Price

I got this dryer for a lower price. I wanted to take the model just above this one, but because of my lack of space, I had to take this one which is a little less deep. So far, so good, it dries very fast, the smell is wonderful on the clothes once dry and the commands are very simple. I didn't try everything yet and I still have questions about the different commands, since I didn't read the whole directions yet, I received it only two weeks ago. Just know that a whole has to be made in the wall for the evacuation, but really, it is very simple, and very efficient. I am very happy with my purchase, so far.

Broke down in less than 2 years

We bought this dryer in December of 2008. It broke down in Sept of 2010. We spent $200 on repairs. Very unhappy. Also has an obnoxious buzzer that goes off three times at the end of the cycle and there is no way to disable it.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Bought this unit to match my GE washer, and no complaints. It dries the clothes, runs quiet and is inexpensive to operate with the gas connection. A great dryer for a great low price.

The new General Electric Dryer has worked like a dream. The customer service I got from the credit department was 2nd to none and the people who made the delivery was prompt and on time. I give 5.5 out of 5 stars because it was that good.

Great Dryer for the money. Does the job and really gets hot.
Drawback, Do not put any strech type material on the hi med low setting it gets to hot for it and melts it.
I always use the time dry.
Over all very good peurchase.

A big ol' cavern of gas-heated drying capacity!
This dryer absolutely swallowed a king-sized comforter and, with the handy settings, dried it perfectly, but not to absolute desert dryness. Something I hate.
It's quiet, simple has an easy-to-clean lint filter... what more do you need?
Oh! And the ordering was simple and the delivery guys were the best!

As most people are, I am on a budget and could not splerge on some fancy dryer. Because of that fact, what I needed had to dry my clothes. Period. This dryer is exactly what I was hoping to find. Very basic options and above all us within my budget. Thank you GE!!

I am happy with our choice. We did not want a fancy dryer, but wanted one that would be easy to load, empty & also that the lint filter would be up-front. our old dryer was way too hard to clean out the filter & way too may options. you need a manual to figure it out.

The delivery men were on time and did a professional job of connecting the dryer. It dries very good and I am happy with it. It is nice looking and I am glad I picked this dryer as I was on a budget and it worked out fine for me.
