Best purchase in a long time!,

"I purchased this washer and the matching dryer 5 months ago and could not be more pleased! I had to keep checking it for the first 4 or so washes because it was so quiet I thought it wasn't working! I love the fact it is self leveling when the load is out of balance! Also, with the combo of the dryer, my electric bill dropped noticeabley within the first full month of use!
Can't ask for better than that!"

"I just recently purchased a GE Washer and I am very content with the product. It is extremely quiet and fits all my needs. Kudos to the staff at Home Depot as well. They were very helpful; even calling other locations for product availability."

Two DOA,

"So far we've had two of these washers and both didn't work out of the box.
The first one had a problem with the timer. It wouldn't advance. The machine would run a cycle only if you stood by and moved the timer by hand. With some complaining, our local store agreed to send out a new replacement.
The second machine is also dead. It won't agitate or spin. We are waiting to find out if we can get a refund. Home Depot generally won't refund your money once you've signed for a machine.
Overall GE has a good reputation for reliability. I don't know if they have started to slip or if we were just unlucky. My advice is to not let the delivery team leave until you are satisfied the washer is working properly.
If your stand pipe is more than a few feet from the machine you will have to order a GE drain extension hose. The generic ones won't fit this machine. GE charges $40 for the extension."

Great product and quick service,

"We ordered this washer from our local store about a month ago and are very pleased with it so far. The 3.2 Cu. Ft. capasity is great. We can fit about twice as many clothes in it as our previous washer and it does a much better job getting out dirt and stains. The washer was delivered and setup for us quickly."
