I have been surrounded by top loader washing machines all my life. My parents, my apartments I rented, and college dorms all had top loaders. When it was time to buy a house, I started looking at front loader washing machines. Less water, shock absorbers, etc. Stuff that seemed to justify the over $1000 price. Then I began reading about this washer on the Maytag website. This seemed to fit the bill. This washing machine is excellent. It is quiet, doesn't "Walk" (even on my hardwood floor), has extra rinse capability and extra large tub (which is important as my young daughter goes through a ton of clothes). I highly recommend this product to anyone. And as always get the extended warranty...never know what is gonna happen.

My washer was delivered this morning and I just did my first load of laundry. Here are my comments:
- the tub is large
- normal wash cycle is about 45 minutes
- clean clothes (to be expected!)
- clothes were wrung dry, but,
- it's a tad noisy
Overall, I'm happy with this product & purchase.
