Cooks fast and very quiet when compared to other microwaves we have had. Simple installation with the supplied templates and hardware. Plenty of features and simple controls that are easy to understand. The product looks good installed.

I recently purchased this model and I am thrilled with it. It is the easiest microwave to operate I have ever seen. A little difficult to hang. You need two people but the performance is worth it.

I purchased this microwave to replace my Sharp R-630D which I used daily for 10 years--this was mounted in a custom cabinet as over-the-counter. This newer model was the most similar with same functions/ease of use. Oven was easy to install. I hope I get another 10 years out of this one! Order process was easy online & the microwave was delivered promptly.

we needed a new microwave to replace our old one .but,needed to mount it under our cabinet and over the counter and be stainless steel .this unit was the perfect fit .it looks like it was custom made for kitchen.its easy to use with sensor technology ,i also like the light under the unit.

We needed a microwave that would mount under the cabinet so we did not have to build a shelf to get it off the counter. This is the only one I could find that is made for that.It works great with the 1100w power. I have a 1300w counter top it replaced and was concerned that we might not be as happy with the Sharp at 1100w. No problem. Works as fast as the 1300w. The only complaint is that they don't not carry it in store and it came shipped dented from dropped on the box corner and now it is out of stock. I am using it sitting on blocks until I can get another. Glad I did this test run because I will mount it farther away from the right side wall where the door opens. The entire front of the microwave is the door. Kinda long but looks great.

This microwave is very specific to mounting over a counter and that's exactly what I was looking for. Installation - although not a breeze - when in without any problems. You need to read through the directions throughly and understand the template and how it works before you begin the process. I'm usually pretty intuitive with installing things and putting things together. This requires some forethought before you make your first hole.
I like the micro wave itself. It's all the Sharp said it would be and has the higher-end features I was looking for in a micro wave. The only thing to be aware of is when opening the door you may have to take a step back or the door will hit you in the head. The door is the same length as the front of the unit and with the over the cabinet unit, unlike the over the stove units, you are closer to the front of the unit.
It looks great and works as expected. That makes me happy and I give this product an excellent rating.

This microwave was purchased after 1.5 year old counter model went out. This is easy to install. I installed by myself, but recommends two people to lift into place. Looks great and runs great!!! Would highly recommend. Space saving Microwave!!!!

Great Idea for a Microwave Oven

The Sharp 1.5 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Counter Microwave Oven was the answer to our 70's Kitchen redesign. When we re-did our kitchen from a L shaped peninsula design to a galley design we were faced with where to place the Microwave. We didn't want it over the cook-top as we had chosen an exhaust hood for that purpose. We didn't want a counter top unit as that would waste "valuable" counter space. We had one corner that was to be the appliance garage so that location was out. Nor did we want to enclose a counter top Microwave unit in a cabinet box as none of these ever look good due to dimensional issues- big wooden box little microwave!
SO when we found this little jewel and how it integrated into our overall cabinet design we chose this item as one of our many stainless appliances.
The measurements of this unit is a standard cabinet width and can be included into many software programs. As to the Microwave functions, we have no complaints. It does what a Microwave should do at least for me - reheat my coffee. The wife and family use it on a daily basis.
Items of note -
the Microwaves control panel and indicators are at eye level and are very readable even in bright light which this kitchen has.
This unit has no exhaust vent so this will not work over a cook top area. It does have cooling vents which are on the bottom. this is why its called "an over the counter" Microwave.
You also can get the optional tool caddy rails which mount underneath the Microwave in three locations - RKOTC120. This item is great for hanging kitchen items such as spoons and spatulas and my coffee cup, etc .

In Closing this unit comes in three flavors White - Black and Stainless Steel. When installed into a wall cabinet design it blends in seamlessly to the overall kitchen design. This unit come Highly recommended in both form and function which is what a kitchen is all about. The Microwave has a large 1.5 Cu ft capacity - the turntable is great for heating foods evenly - the auto temp functions and the over all clean design make this a GOOD BUY in my book.
