The 40 pint portable dehumidifier provides powerful moisture removal without the noise associated with dehumidifiers. The rotary compressor allows continuous, virtually silent operation. The compact size and weight make the CFM-40 the ultimate portable dehumidifer. A built-in carry handle allows you to take the CFM-40 any place where moisture removal is needed. The CFM-40 provides continuous and reliable operation down to 36 F. Four humidity settings and three fan speeds allow you to choose the amount of moisture to be removed from any area.

Soleus 40 pint dehumidifier,

"We've used this dehumidifier for about 2 wks. It is quiet and easy to move from room to room and unlike some reviews I read prior to purchasing, the fan does shut off when full. We are running it on the high setting, not the continuous flow. It's not the easiest to empty, but none we've had since they stopped putting the bucket externally on the back have been easy to empty without spilling a little."

"the unit is very quiet. but I don't believe that it does a well at removing the humidity from the air. I had a 70 pint dehumidifier that would fill up in 6hrs where the 40 pint unit takes 8+hrs."

"This is one product that actually does measure up to its advertisement claims very well. The minor drawback would be that it does not come with a hose(sold separately)for the continuous cycle mode--that would have made it perfect...."

"Despite our humid basement (which on other brands had a constant trickle down the drain), this machine has produced not one drop of liquid in the pail (we took off the hose to see if it did anything; it did not). Also, at the second home, which goes weeks without visitors and where the electricity will go off for a few minutes every week or so, the machine stops; a person has to be there to restart it after an electrical interruption. All in all, about the worst product of any kind I have ever bought."
