I decided to try this in one room to see how I liked it and whether it installs easily - and I'll be doing the rest of my upstairs with this! I'm not a professional, so I removed the trim around my doors rather than try to make rounded cuts. I also plan to put quarter-round trim around the entire room, as my house is pretty old and I had to do some uneven cuts to make it fit. A couple of things: Go to the sewing store and buy a quilter's cutting mat. It has grid marks on it and will protect whatever you're cutting on. Keep a sharp razor in the cutter, and make the first score light, then progressively deeper. A 12" metal ruler is great, but stick something on the back so it doesn't shift while you're scoring the planks. Keep a clean rag handy so you can continue to brush off the floor before you lay the planks...And keep the pets out of the room! Their hair sticks like mad to the edges.
Overall - I'm loving this floor!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Installed this flooring in a high traffic area in my home several years ago (kitchen) and it currently looks as good as when installed. Decided recently to floor the balance of the residence and the motorhome with the oak plank . Installer commented on the ease of installation and the high quality as compared to several of the flooring products he has worked with.

LOVE this flooring! About 6 yrs ago we installed this in our basement in our old home that we now rent & it still looks great! When we moved into our current home the carpet that was here smelled awful & was throughout the kids rooms & bathrooms. I ordered the allure from home depot, had it delivered & a professional installed it. Still looks perfect 4 years later & we have 4 young kids, a dog & a cat. I put it in my laundry room & still great there too! Then I put it in our office kitchen/breakroom because I hated the vct tile- still looks great now 4 years later. Then the summer before last we replaced our master bath that had carpet (yuck!) with the allure that looks like ceramic tile & I love it there too- looks great & warm underfoot compared to the ceramic/porcelain tile by my shower area. Last summer we put the Bamboo looking allure in our basement at our current home. That I wasn't as impressed with because it does show some scratching from the kids ripsticking allover- maybe because the bamboo look has a smoother surface- but I still love it.

Very easy to apply. You must keep a sharp blade in your
knife. I was concerned there would be to much waste however as it turned out there was very little. You must
apply felt pads under your furniture as it will mark your
flooring. The hardest part was cutting the planks length
wise. I am almost 70 years old so getting up and down
was the 2nd hardest part for me. The product is very
forgiving and you have a few minutes to tighten a joint as
long as you do not apply to much pressure. I applied
over 600 Sq. feet in my basement. It looks and feels
like real wood.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This floor was installed in the bathroom that is used my two teenage boys. Installs easy. No problems with peeling or scratching. Still looks as good as the day it was put in! Very easy to clean with just a damp mop or swifter pad. I just came home today with another color to put in my kitchen and laundry room and I am so excited!!! I know that if it can withstand the roughness of two boys after 3 years, it will be great for the rest of my home! Thanks to Home Depot for carrying this wonderful product!!

I installed this floor myself (49 yo female) in a 16' x 15' room in about 10 hours. The hardest part for me was cutting around the corner of a very weird angle in a closet. A friend came over the next day and installed the quarter round. It looks great, even my carpenter friend said so. I told him how easy it was to install and now he may use it in his home recording studio.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I put this in my kitchen. Once I read the instructions and did the first couple of rows it went down very easily. The "hardest" part of the installation was moving the frig and other items in my kitchen to get under them. The other great part is that it is very easy to maintain. Damp mop and it's done. I will be getting more to put in my entry!
Yes, I recommend this product.

I put this on top of an existing tile bathroom floor. Once you got used to Scoring it, it became easier to notch around heat registers and around toilet. It has not moved or come unglued. I did use a small roller andnrolled each piece as I put it down. If you take your time and follow the directions it installs very easily. People have not noticed the difference between this and hardwood floor in the adjacent room

We installed this floor in our kitchen with the hopes of a durable looking floor that was to be easy to maintain and look good. The floor went down easy after having been in the house for more than the 48 hours suggested. It was in for four days getting used to the 65 degree average temp of my home. The box recommends having in home for 24 -48 hrs ahead of installation. Followed all directions, rented 100#roller. Floor was peeling in a day. When we called, rep said we should have installed at warmer temp to activate adhesive. They sent us their version of super glue to stop the peeling. This flooring product probably works well in warm climates or for customers that can afford to keep home warm like tropics...but why would they purchase this if heat was no worry. Overall not very pleased.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I am a 40 year old woman with a husband, 3 kids and a dog. I did a lot of research to find a floor that would hold up to major wear and tear... I took a chance and decided to use the TrafficMaster low end version instead of the high end name brand vinyl plank to replace about 1200 sq ft of my main floor that includes the kitchen, small bathroom, utility room, family room and front entrance. I installed it ALL myself.. though installing around barriers and into new rooms is quite a project and worked up a bit of sweat and frustration. But, Wow, does it ever look great! I get compliments all the time on it and it has not had any problems at all with wear... going on 14 months now. It hides dirt, is the fastest floor I have ever cleaned, and takes a beating. Seriously. I am now considering putting it into my formal living room and the "man cave". I've been thrilled with the results and tell my friends about the product whenever they ask. A true winner and answer to my needs.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This floor is very easy to install and looks great on kitchen floor. HOWEVER, in less than 3 hours after completing installation I could see marks in the finish as if something had be drug across the floor putting scratches in it. Talk about being upset!!! I cannot believe they call this product "trafficmaster" when it can't even be walk on without putting marks in the finish (barefooted by the way). I will be contacting a product respresentative. I have waited over 15 years to get a new floor in my kitchen, which did not have any scratches on it. I can only imagine what this will look like in 15 years!

I had allure flooring installed in my home in Feb 2011. After ten months of use the finish is flaking off the floor revealing the white underlayment. This is occuring in the kitchen by the counter and sink, and in the family room in front of the couch. These are areas which get a lot of use. I have never had a floor wear this badly after only 10 months of use.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I laid 450 SQFT a few weeks ago and will take delivery of the remaining 700 to complete my bsmnt floor. A couple tips:
- start in the left corner and run forward, then over to your right in progressive planks (of course), not in some other corner, because the lap joints are at 12 and 3 o'clock unless you want to pull up the former plank and slide in the new one under it - possible, but not recommended.
- lay plastic sheet (3 or thicker mil) over concrete, first, to keep moisture from working on the lap adhesive over time.
- don't push the joints together too hard, because they'll show the next day. place without stressing, but snug.
- I rented a roller from HD to deal with the issue above, but came right back the next day.
That's all I got; it looks great and fun for the kids to play on. Best of all, it's clean!
Yes, I recommend this product.
