I was very skeptical about purchasing this floor; but after my contractor installed it in my kitchen and entry way, I was hooked. The floor changes the look and the feel of the entire kitchen. Elegant comfort. My knees love the cushiony feel. Cleans easily with a steam mop (although I'm still trying to get some excess adhesive off). My next floor will be Allure Vinyl Planking!

I installed this myself in spring 2009. It was easy, and cheap. It has lasted very well with 2 kids and a small dog. We love it. No scratches except where the screw in the couch leg was rubbing it. It does get scuffs in the beginning but the eventually go away and after it is older, it doesn't do that anymore. I can't recommend it highly enough. We have a pool and I don't have to worry about water and it's not slippery when wet. I get compliments all the time on my "beautiful hardwood floors".

Installed 230sq ft on 4/20/12-I had to replace my Berber carpet with this because I have an old dog with a bladder problem. The planks went down easy and look great. The dog has tested the floor on two occasions now and It was easy to clean and still looks great. The only problem is that it is slippery for pets so you will need some washable throws or runners.

I have installed this flooring in my hallway, living room and dining room. My 22 year old granddaughter did all the laying of the floor. I helped rip up the old carpet. I am so happy to have this. It is easy to clean, no bubbles or rising up of the planks, they all fit together firmly. It looks like real wood grain. Pay attention to alternating the rows like brick work as it makes it look like real wood pattern. All we did to the underfloor was sweep real good and hammer down some nails and removed staples. Be careful to pad ALL furniture legs and bases. We didn't just use the adhesive on the pads, we tacked them down deep so they were secure, with the cushions above the nails so not to scratch. This makes all my furniture including my heavy dining table glide over the floor. Love it! Unfortunately, didn't get all mine padded and ended up with two scratches. I will have to figure out if I can stain them or try to replace the vinyl planks as I did end up with extra which they say to do. Plan to order 10 percent overage. We also installed the Sedona vinyl planks in our kitchen and it is wearing great with all the traffic. It's amazing! The description for this product is right on! We have 3 jack russells racing around and they haven't come close to scratching the floor. I plan to install in my bathrooms and front foyer and eventually in the downstairs family rooms and possibly march into the bedrooms, too!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Just finished installing in a 4' X 5' half bathroom. I laid it directly over our 25 year old vinyl. I bought two boxes and was able to complete using only one full box, having had no cutting errors. I cut a cardboard box in to 2" wide by 8" long strips and taped to walls using blue Scotch 2080EL light stick tape as I had just painted the walls and didn't want to pull the paint off. These were my 1/8" spacers around edges to allow for expansion/contraction of planks. I spent the time planning the layout because this was such a small area and the second plank laid would require cutting around a radiant hot water base board heating pipe and the toilet would require cutting on the fourth plank laid. Area is 48" wide so I ended with only having to cut 1/4" width off the last row of planks laid. I did start in one corner and worked my way across.
I did keep the sticky strips protected by pushing the paper separating the planks and even putting tape over the sticky strips, using the light stick blue Scotch 3M tape until I was ready to install, so that there would be no issues with the glue being compromised and planks not staying stuck together. When you start cutting planks to fit around pipes etc. the shavings and small pieces you are cutting will get stuck to your sticky strips if you don't have them protected. Someone suggested using tin snips for cutting other than straight lines.
I wanted to try the planks in a small area to see how the installation went and how well they held up, so far I'm very happy with product. I read on another review that ladies grandson had skateboarded and roller skated on her floor in basement with no issues. I'm planning to install a different color in kitchen/dining area once I see how this holds up in bathroom.
At this point I would definitely recommend product!

Delivery was timely. I ordered 22 cases ,so it came on a small pallet wich was dropped exactly where I requested.
Installation went way smoother than I anticipated. My 16 year old son did most of the installation because I "ran out of gas" ! He is a bright young man and actullay showed me a few tricks that he picked up along the way.Our "man cave looks awesome. We replaced wall to wall carpet due to the extreme rainy conditions SE PA has experienced the last several years. I would definitly recomend this poduct where water maybe an issue,

I had this installed by my dear hubby(who hates doing flooring). He said it was quite easy and did my laundry room in basically one night....with one day to prep and move furniture and appliances. Now I want to do the kitchen and I am seriously wanting to put it in the living room. Vinyl in the LR..unheard of I know..but it looks so rich...no one believes me when I say it's vinyl!

I put this product in my bathroom years ago when it first came out, and it is still as beautiful and functional as when it was installed. So I chose it again, when another room needed flooring. I am a petite woman, and not particularly gifted at home improvement, and yet I was able to do this, and it looks great. Be precise about the seams, and it will look flawless. I also love the fact that it does not take alot of tools to install, a good straight edge ruler and a razor knife, and you are set.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I had been looking for a flooring product to replace the white kitchen/bath tile, light beige carpet, and light laminate flooring in my downstairs space that would be easy to clean, withstand two small dogs who have "accidents" and two boys. Before purchasing this product I put a sample piece in a sink of water overnight to see if the product change in any way, and it didn't.
I was able to remove all flooring, prep some spots, and install new flooring within one week by myself without taking out furniture. Project would have been done in much less time if I didn't have to move stuff around as a went.
Note: I live in Southern California, I'm a 44 year old, out of shape woman. I have a cement slab and the rooms have right angles. I also work full-time, a PTA secretary, Music Booster President at school, and have kids music lessons during the week. Basically I'm really busy and still finished about 500 sq ft in a week working around my schedule.
Tools used: Utility knife (had to replace blade twice), 12' plastic framing square, two foot metal straight edge for longer cuts, tape measure, plyers (for bending flooring on small cuts), crow bar (floor prep), Kwikrete concrete patch, small mixing tray, small plastic putty knife, hairdryer, and I rented a small power chisel to remove tile flooring.
To remove ceramic tile I rented smallest electric chisel with an angled chisel tip. The thinset under the tile came up so a didn't need to rent the thinner tip to remove the thinset from the slab.
To remove the carpet I used the utility blade to cut the carpet in managable pieces. I used the crowbar to bring up wood tack strips. Where the tack strips were nailed into the slab a divit was created when the nail came out. I just used Kwikrete to patch hole. Just scrape excess off with putty knife. For nails that I couldn't pull out I slammed crowbar against nail until it either cut off or popped out. Used crowbar to scrape glue that was used to glue carpet pad to slab.
IMPORTANT: Make sure floor is cleaned of all debris whether you use a broom or shop vac. If you don't you will be able to feel debris through finished floor.
For the biggest part of the room it was just straight rows. All flooring that is continuous should be laid in the same direction for the whole project. Seams should be staggered so I would start a row with a whole piece, next row 2/3 piece, 3rd row 1/3 piece so that the seems are at least 12" from each other. I make it more realistic looking because that's how you do wood floors. Remember that sticky edge facing up, gets attached to sticky edge facing down except at edges.
To cut pieces I used framing square, three passes with utility knife, and then bend to snap at score line. If you use a pencil you can mark either side. I started cutting from the underside, but by the end of the project I just did cut on the finished side. When I removed the carpet there was a gap so that I was able to have the floor about 1/8-1/3" under the base boards. This product is rubber so I'm not real concerned with expansion and contraction, or acclimating before laying floor (Southern CA).
Make sure that you put felt under your furniture to make sure that you don't scratch it which you would probably want to do with even high quality wood flooring.
For the few edges that weren't perfect (around door jams) I got DAP brand caulking in brown as I laid the Cherry color flooring. I used painters tape to tape off the finished flooring. I then put the caulking in the gap, spread it with a wet putty knife to make smooth then pulled off tape.
If you goof up and the seams aren't perfect, you can use a hair dryer to heat up glue so that you can pull up to fix. Fix as you go, don't wait until the end. I have NO gaps between pieces. Don't be lazy...fix the piece.
TIP: This project has very little wasted material. Towards to the end of my project I realized that I could have wasted even less.
I saved all of the cut pieces throughout the project because if I cut on one side of room, I was able to use that excess in other part of room. But what I realized at end of project is that if you look at the piece of flooring it's actually two pieces of rubber glued together, You can cut one layer away with your utility blade to create the piece you need.
Good luck!
Yes, I recommend this product.

This flooring looks amazing! My husband and my son laid it every where in our house, but the bedrooms. We love it so much we are going to do the bedrooms next. We have a pool so this flooring was an excellent choice for us. It was easy to lay and I love that if a piece gets messed up we can just heat it up with a blow dryer and put a new piece in. I only wish we had known about this when we built the house. I would never have put carpet in.

Did our living and dining rooms last month and worked our way into the foyer last weekend. It is gorgeous! If you read the instructions, prep the area and plan carefully there's no reason anyone can't do this themselves. Get a tube of wood putty for the edges you mess up, but most of those will be covered by molding anyway. Our home was only built 5 years ago but the carpet was looking awful. This stuff looks like super-expensive hardwood and you can't tell it isn't unless you kneel down on the floor and inspect it. And, even then, it has the texture in the grain that you can feel. I think it looks way more real than the laminate that was in the foyer beforehand...and at 5 years old that had knicks and gouges everywhere but still managed to keep its fake clear-plasticy looking surface. In the foyer we put this straight over the top of the laminate and then just used a connector strip stained to match to transition the slight height difference between the two finished rooms. I wish I had a 'before' picture because it really is amazing how awesome it looks. And we did all 3 rooms for under a grand, including new quarter-round and wood putty and the transition strips. We are very, very happy.
