It was easy to install and looks great. I was looking at a simpler and cheaper version and am glad I spent a little extra for this one. It looks sharp. I also love that the mesh is set up as doors instead of a curtain - easier to operate and safer if you have little ones. I would recommend this product!

The door set is well made, but difficult to figure which size fits what fireplace opening. I have had to return the medium sized one (bought in the store) and ordered a small one (on line) hoping it will fit. The smaller on costs more!!! Kind of bummed.

Hubby and I LOVE these glass doors! I could have ordered the small ones but I'm glad I ordered the med ones (more glass surface area). If you measure carefully, you will not have a problem with these. High quality and beautiful. Easy to install too! I'm a 50 yr old female with arthritis and had no problem installing them. They are absolutely beautiful! Good for contemporary, craftsman and japanese type decors, or if you just like their look. Fit is nice and tight.

Very pleased with this fireplace glass door. It really looks beautiful in place and really easy to install. Careful with sizing. Although we were careful and exact with the measurement, we had to get the bigger size because the insulation won't reach the sides and stay put. You really need to buy it at least two inches bigger than it states . We had to change the medium for a large.

Great Doors with Some Minor Concerns

Overall, these are great doors for the price. They have a really nice, clean look to them. The screens are mounted to swing out doors which is an awesome feature; freeing you from having to touch the screens and getting soot all over your hands. The outer glass doors are tinted which hides the inside of the fireplace from view when they are closed; another great feature. I ordered them on Sunday evening and received them by Friday afternoon and had them installed by that evening.
I had just a few very minor issues/concerns with them:
1. They do not sit completely flush against my fireplace. This certainly could be due to the ceramic tiles on the fireplace not being perfectly level, but I'm not sure. Other reviewers have made mention of this too. I got around this issue by taking the leftover insulation that the doors came with and pushing it into the gaps with a small putty knife. The gaps are now sealed off; problem solved easily.
2. I stressed over the decision between ordering the large or medium doors. My fireplace width measured 36.25" wide which fits into the specs for both the medium and large doors. Even though the large doors would technically fit a 36"+ wide opening, my fire box walls go in on an angle from the opening towards the back so I was concerned that I may not have enough room to install the doors. I ended up ordering the medium size and it turned out to be a good decision because the screen doors are mounted in such a way that the sides of the doors do protrude inward when you open them because they are mounted on pins that are offset from the outer edges of the door a bit. If you do not have enough clearance on the sides, you would probably have trouble getting those screen doors open as another person had indicated in their review. My suggestion is that if you are really close on the measurements, go with the smaller size so that you have plenty of clearance.
3. My installation took longer than what other people have reported in their reviews. This is because the back of my lintel has a rounded edge, so the screws that are meant to pinch the back end of the lintel kept slipping and would not tighten. Therefore, I had to follow the alternate installation instructions which required me to drill into the bottom of the lintel and screw the brackets directly into it. At first, I was not too happy to drill through the lintel, but in hindsight it is a much more secure installation.

Again, these "issues" are very minor but I wanted to detail them to provide a heads-up for people considering these doors. Like I said before, these are great doors for the price and I would definitely recommend them if you, like me, think that most fireplace doors are ridiculously overpriced. These are a great value.

The fireplace doors are high quality construction. Heavy gauge metal with a nice even powder coating. Magnetic catches on doors and screens. Simple installation which took only about 30 minutes...and I was taking my time.

We ordered this firescreen not really knowing what to expect. It was A LOT cheaper than the custom one from a fireplace store, so with free shipping and a great return policy, we had nothing to lose.
It was super easy to install (my husband and I did it our selves, and we are the least "handy" people we know). It looks fantastic and keeps the house much more insulated.

I wasn't sure I wanted fireplace doors then I saw this set on Homedepot.com and had to have them. They came in a few days, very easy to install and are gorgeous. This product was very easy to install I had it done in less than an hour. The only thing that I needed after installation was more fireproof insulation to go aroung the firplace as the doors did not set flush to the bricks on the fireplace. It updated the fireplace with not alot of work. I would recommend this product. The price which the shipping was free was a very good value.

I went to a fireplace store and almost choked over the price of the least expensive and least attractive doors. Found these online and could not be happier. They are very solid and easy to install. The system is very similar to the doors at the fireplace store. I like that the mesh part is also a door and not a hanging component that you slide over. Have had probably a half-dozen fires and they are still solidly in place.
