This fireplace door set does exactly what the manufacturer says it will do. The instructions were easy to follow; it took about 30 minutes to install. The only draw back is IF your bricks are not even, you will need to get some additional insulation. And because I read the reviews here, I did that.
I had put off getting new doors because of the prices. The doors that were originally installed were the bright gold that was popular years ago (can't believe I actually thought they looked good). The design and finish of these doors dramatically improved the look of my living room. And there are no air leaks escaping from sides or top of the frame. I've been able to lower my thermostat by 2 degrees since we installed them.
Bonus was the reduced price! I ordered on line with in store pickup and the price was reduced by $60.00.

We purchased these fireplace doors for a renovation property that we did a few months ago. The doors were BEAUTIFUL! So beautiful and functional, that two months later, we bought another set for our own home fireplace! The finish is great and the doors look awesome. These doors are a terrific deal. They make any fireplace look expensive, and they keep the draft from coming into the house. We love them.

I checked other places and found this one to be the better made and looks great. The price is very low for what you get. It took me about 20 mins. to install. My fireplace is large and I could see a small opening in one side and at the top. I went back to Home Depot and got two angle and one peace of flat bar metal to put on the inside ($25.00). It worked, You can not beat what I got for what I paid. Why pay $1,500.00 when you get this for around $300.00.

I love this replacement glass and screen. It was a bother removing the old glass and screen (some 30 years old) but with a hammer and some perserverance and some satisfaction I was able to rig the new glass and screen into place. It fits beautifully and enhances the living room's appearance with elegance. The closure of the screen and glass is solid. I did need to insulate a bit but that was expected. The included hardware was a flexible addition that provided dutifully for the unusual installation. This unit should work for just about any installation need. Great value. Well done fireplace glass!

everything about this I like. However, I couldn't do the standard install so I was left with drilling holes. Anyway, I'm not the most patience person so this was annoying. I like it though and the construction is solid.

We purchased our home in July 2009, and the fireplace cover was old and worn out! We had been looking at the pleasant hearth fireplace covers, but kept pushing back our budget to purchase. When I noticed the price drop to $239 with free shipping, we decided to give it a try. I had read reviews that said installation took an hour, but we had this installed and the fireplace on in about 20 minutes flat! It has made such a difference in the "finished" look of our fireplace, and it's a great safety when you have a toddler crawling towards the fireplace. Highly recommend!

The glass fireplace doors that I ordered from Home Depot have completely transformed the appearance of my family room. I had my brick fireplace tiled with ceramic tile, but was unable to find something attractive to use as a screen for the firebox. The beautiful fireplace doors from Home Depot worked perfectly. They fit well, and are beautiful. Ordering was easy and they arrived at my home within three days. I wanted them before Christmas and they came in ahead of time. I am wonderfully pleased with the whole transaction.

This was one of the quickest and easiest things to upgrade in my home. The instructions tell you exactly what to do and it only took me 20 or 30 minutes from start to finish. The glass doors are already installed and are perfectly set so you don't have to mess with alignments although they do give you instructions to re-align the doors if needed. I really was impressed with the quality of the firescreen too. I ordered it online and Home Depot shipped it fast and it arrived in less than a week.

Relatively easy to install. Really updated the fireplace. Screens pop open. Makes huge difference. The price was quite a bit cheaper at Home Depot since the larger size was priced the same as the small one.

The fireplace glass doors that I ordered from Home Depot are beautiful. I live out in the middle of nowhere and it is difficult to find the things I need. I went on the Home Depot internet site and was able to order the doors and they were delivered to me in less than a week. I am a woman well over 50 and was able to install them by myself. Beautiful, availability and easy to install, what more can a person ask for ?

We love these doors. There was a flaw in one door but a quick phone call and they shipped a new door that day. The quality of this set is very good for the price and they are easy to install. Similar doors were around twice the price at local fireplace shops.

This product is a fantastic value! The doors have a great look and the quality of a much more expensive set. If you've been shopping for fireplace doors, you know you can spend up to $1500 for something with this much style and weight. These were very easy to install - the hardest step was unwrapping the product from the packaging! Look no further - this is the one!
