I have a hole in my kitchen that this microwave fits,
So even though I read the reviews of these and knew they burn out quickly and even though that 's what happened to my last one, I did not expect this new one to be broken right out of the box. the minute I plugged it in without touching any buttons - the fan was on and never went off. No buttons were functional and nothing would reset it at all, not unplugging, not anything. The factory box was unopened so the factory send this out with no quality control and it wasn't home depot's fault. GE. has lemme down - again.

This replaced my old spacemaker II after about eight years of use. Good product but this new one opens differently than the old model so it is tricky to use in the pre-made space I have. Also it hasn't been upgraded to be more energy efficient like some of the other microwaves out there. Overall good for saving space and lasting a long time but too pricey.

We had to replace a 25 year old Spacesaver microwave that had been installed over our cabinets when the kitchen was remodeled, so it was important to have the correct size to fit into the space. This microwave is just a bit larger, so the door rubs on the side of the cabinet just a little, but it works.
