Buy the warranty!

I usually do not buy the warranty but I did when purchasing this LG Dryer as I was not familiar to the name as a dryer manufacturer. I did know they made electronics. After one year of normal use the heat on the dryer quit working. The ignitor would light and I'd get a few minutes of heat before the gas shut-off. Now that this invasive repair was made the Sensor Dry cycles no longer work. The dryer turns off (which indicates the clothes are dry), however my clothes are still damp. I'm now waiting for the repairman for this and in the meantime using the Timed Dry cycle which adds to the wrinkles. This is a big purchase for the average person I plunked out $809.00 in 9/07 for this appliance and for it to fail so soon is very disappointing. But I sure am glad I bought the warranty.

No, I do not recommend this product.
