"I bought this to back up the fridge/freezer so we could keep only the things we intend to use day to day in that freezer, avoiding the cascade of items you get every time you want to pull out that bag of frozen peas. Purchasing was smooth (on-line), delivery was conveniently arranged for a Sunday (thanks!), the freezer was placed in its niche and plugged in. Its quiet and unobtrusive -- it just works.
Its about the right size for 2 people. You're never quite sure whether you should have got the next size up but its so inexpensive that should we discover a talent for freezing anything and everything -- unlikely -- then we can get a larger one and just move this on to someone else who'd appreciate it."

"This freezer allows me to shop in bulk. I live in an apartment and it fits in my kitchen comfortably and its quiet. But I want to add...the deliverymen Wes and Tony were so professional. My freezer was delivered in a snow storm and when they finished they cleaned up their wet and slushy boot prints. Now that's customer service!!!"

"I'm due with baby #2 before Christmas, so once I had my Thanksgiving turkey thawing I decided to order a chest freezer, and it arrived the day after Thanksgiving! A delivery company called two days before, because of the holiday, and the day of the guys called to say that they were running ahead of schedule and could drop it off earlier if convenient. They plugged it in, put it on a setting and even disposed of the box for me. NOTE: if you want to clean the interior prior to filling you'll want to turn it off! Simple cleaning directions are in the manual. The manual is easily understood and I already have it half full of food. We have it in our garage. It's quiet, clean, and gives me peace of mind that I won't have to be stressing over what to make for every meal...I'll just thaw something!"

"I'm definitely glad that I got a chest freezer. It is so much easier to take advantage of sales on meat. I was contemplating getting a 7 cu ft freezer, but I'm glad that I got this smaller model. It is a good size for our small family.
Pros: works well, good size, good price
Cons: a little noisier than I wanted (as a result, it will reside in the basement instead of the kitchen)

Note: One of the screws on the bottom was too long resulting in an unstable freezer. (It was almost an inch longer than the other screw performing the exact same job). Unfortunately we didn't realize what the problem was until after the floor was scratched. Fortunately it isn't too visible, and my husband was able to cut the excess screw length off. I'm sure this was just a fluke, but you may want to check yours when you receive it just in case."

"This was the first one we looked at and the one we kept coming back to. Not only was it the right price but the size was perfect for 2 adults and 3 kids. Also delivery was free (no where else) and the delivers were quick and friendly. The freezer was delivered undamaged and has been keeping our food frozen for about a month now with no complaints."

"I am part of a family of three; which includes myself, my fiancee, and my 3 year old son. This freezer size is perfect for us. I think if you are a family of 4-5 or more you should think about upgrading to the 7.0 model. Thank goodness now when I go grocery shopping I don't have to skimp on frozen food items just because my refrigerator/freezer model doesn't hold enough. Whatever that can't hold, the deep freezer will hold the rest just fine. I can't see how anyone could go without a deep freezer. You should get one too! P.S....The delivery guys were awesome. They showed up a whole 2 hours BEFORE the scheduled delivery time! I would love to use them again!!!"

"This is a true deep freezer. The basket helps with "delicate" items or items for quick reach. Runs quietly. (Green light helps with location and knowledge of operating.) Did not take long to start freezing. The delivery went smooth. They were professional, courteous, and quick."
