Solid all the way around.,

"I bought this grill about 3 months ago. I was looking for something that wasn't too fancy, yet not too basic at the same time. This was the perfect choice. The grill itself works great. I grill about twice a week. Of course it has its hot spots, but every grill does. The ignitor works great. I have really enjoyed the thick grates as well. I have yet to grill anything that didn't turn out well. From wings to veggies to NY strips... it can do it all. I used the side burner for the first time this weekend and it worked just fine. At first I had to wheel the grill out to my driveway a lot... the wheels work great. It took about an hour and a half to assemble... could have been quicker if I didn't have to back track a couple of times. Also, I highly recommend the Brinkmann grill cover. It fits snug, just like a glove. Obviously I'm very happy with this purchase."

"Bought this grille sight unseen, but ended up being very nice. Assembly was straightforward and easy. Instructions are detailed. Large grilling surface is an added benefit and 4 burners are nice. The only drawback I had was the wheels. The pieces that hold the wheels in place need pushed on and resistance is very high. I cracked 1 of the retainers due to this. With that asside, I really like this grille and probably won't find a nicer 1 in this price range."

"I purchased this grill online and it was delivered prior to due date.....what a surprise!
I assembled the grill myself....(GIRL) no mechanical education. It took about 2 hours...not bad. Fairly straight forward directions. I did have friend help lift up the hood portion with me.
I love it! It cooks evenly and it looks handsome too! I highly recommend it!"

"We had been using a charcoal grill for years when we bought this and we are quite happy with it. There is plenty of room to cook for a large group and it cooks uniformly. It's not too hard to clean either. All in all, we are happy with our Brinkman grill and I would recommend it to others."

easy to use,

"We got this grill a few weeks ago and have really had no problems with it. After a few days out in the Florida sunshine and rain, we noticed a couple of spots of rust under the lid but a grill cover is easily helping to prevent more. The pilot usually takes a few tries to get it to ignite but that is not too unusual. Overall, a good grill"

Very Disapointed,

"1st the good news, this grill cooks evenly... I purchased this grill, assembled less that two months ago. The igniter worked once and has not worked since. The grease tray is not secure and can fall out. The regulator has completley frooze up twice stopping the propane from reaching burners. Last night I moved the grill across the yard and the plastic tray that holds the fuel tank broke sending the propane tank to the ground. It also does not have a temp gauge. I plan returning this grill as soon as possible."

Great Grill for the money!!,

"I bought this grill when I moved into my house 2 1/2 months ago. I bought it already put together from the store. The left knob was on backwards, but we realized it very quick and have minimal problems getting it on. I read all the reviews before choosing this grill and have not had any of the problems that other reviewers have written about. It lights easy and stays lit. I bought a cover for it and also leave under the covered part of my deck when I'm not using it, and there is no rust anywhere. I use it about twice a week on average. I haven't used the side burner yet. The bottle opener comes in VERY handy when I have a bunch of people over. I'm overall, very satisfied with this grill and would encourage anyone to purchase!"

"Have had this Grill 1 1/2 years now its a great grill at a good price. High rank in Consumer Reports also.
The 4 burner set up is great, you can turn the outers on high the inners on low put you pizza stone in the middle and do some nice pizza in the summer without heating up the kitchen. Also have done bread on it that way.
It has sat outside with just a cover and had no rust so far in VA. Only knock i would say is cheap tires.

"Worked ok for just over one year. Ignitner fell off and just layed on the bottom of the grill. Crossover channels rusted out so the other burners would not light. Substandard materials used and rust is NOT covered under the warranty. We will keep searching for a good gas grill that will last more than a year."

"I love this grill and will be getting one for my mother soon. The only problem that I had is that the main ignitor switch (called collector box assembly apparently) came apart. However, Brickmann is sending me a replacement part free of charge."

"Great grill!!!! Very easy to use,,,,no hot or cold spots. This is a perfect grill for the price....it even beats the really expensive grills...the only problem was the set-up. Make sure you have two people put it togather,,I did it myself, but it sure would have been easier with another person. We have had this grill since April and love it!!!"

We expected less, and ended up with so much more!,
July 9, 2009

"We have a history of buying near the bottom of the price points for grills. You know the grills that do their job, mostly, and are dead inside of 2 years. Well, our last purchase did just as expected and there is no love lost here.
We chose the Brinkman 4 burner (Model 810-8410-S) over the others in it’s price category for a host of reasons; size of usable cooking surface, porcelain coated grates, spacing of ribs on the grates, 4 burners, the warming rack is attached to unit itself and not the lid.
When we went to pick it up at the Lacey, WA location, we were blown away by the customer service. That doesn’t have anything to do with the grill, but felt it worth mentioning because it matters to us where we by our products. The referral for a product also generally goes along with where you bought it.
Assembly: Pretty easy all things considered. We put out the announcement of a test run and our neighbors were showing up inside of an hour. With that time frame, I was able to assemble and transport the grill from garage to back patio easily.
Cooking: The grill does it very well. You still have to learn its secrets like any other grill we have owned but it didn’t take long. The temperature adjustment is even and predictable which makes life easier. We were able to go from indirect cooking to direct cooking in the same session. London broil, burgers and brats were cooked perfectly on its maiden voyage. It nailed it then and hasn’t changed in the 3 months of hard grilling we’ve thrown at it. No A/C in the house, so hot days become outdoor cooking days and this summer has been perfect for it.
We are very impressed by this grill. Our opinion is that for the money it has outshined all the others we’ve ever owned. We really can not anything to lis tin the con category. It performs perfectly every time, build quality is above par for the price range and it looks great. It feeds the four of us quickly on any given night and handled the Fourth of July like my brothers $600+ unit. We strongly recommend this grill."

"I got this grill 13 months ago and it has been perfect for me as a casual (once a week or so for a family of 4) griller. I'll admit there aren't a lot of bells and whistles, but it's a trusty piece of equipment and has never let me down. I recommended the same model to my brother and we now have matching grills. Neither of us have experienced any of the problems described by other reviewers."

AWEFUL home assembly,
July 8, 2009
By regularjerseyguy
from Cherry Hill NJ
"I am a very intelligent guy who puts together anything from Ikea furniture to complicated computer set ups and this product is the absolute WORST assembly of any product I've ever put together. The instructions are lame - poor diagrams, nothing labeled, parts described in the step by step instructions are not exactly the same name referred to in the parts index.
the pieces themselves did not fit together easily, nuts ill-aligned with holes, and places to get the screwdriver were absolutely insane.
the product itself seems good (just put it together) but do yourself a favor, and have it assembled in the store."

Good among the cheap,
July 6, 2009
By PetHome
from DC Area
"Good: 1. Has stainless steel burners and back flame dispensers - will last longer. 2. Has iron cast porcelain inserted (not covered) cooking grates - easy to scrape. 3. Warms up quickly. 4. Has removable tray for grease disposal. 5. Has large wheeels - easy to move, load in truck...
Bad: 6. Has no thermometer - I added one from a retired grill. 7. The only one igniter initially didn't work - adjust the needle head at about 1/10 " in front of a hole, not a metal space on the burner, never had an igniter problem after that. 8. Is sensitive to wind, has multiple large spaces open to the burning/cooking area. 9. Has larger than usual holes in the burner pipes - drains propane tank faster.
Overall: good grill for the money, makes excellent stakes, got one assemblied with small bent areas for $(199 - 75). Needs post assembly adjustments, the cooking grates move a lot sideways, cooks somehow unevenly, easy to clean/scrape, lasts more than I paid for.
Enjoy!

Don't buy this,

"The grill went together very easy. Like it says you need two people. All parts and instructions were there. Grill worked great for about a month. Now the flames are coming out so weak it took over 40 minutes to cook 4 pork chops last night. If all the flames were ignited they were very low and the heat was not intense enough to cook a thing. We bought this grill in hopes to use it for friends. We will be lucky to get it too cook for a family of 4 one more time. No the tank is not empty either. We only used the grill about 4 times. Terrible buy. We will be contacting Home Depot shortly about this problem."

Brinkmann Grill,
June 28, 2009
By renl
from Maple Valley, WA
"I researched grills and this one seemed like a good grill for the money - I was so very wrong. This is the worst grill I've ever owned. It doesn't heat up properly. We've used this three times; the first time we tried just using a couple burners, then turned them all on due to lack of heat, the second time it seemed to do better, and the third time - no heat again. It's going back to the store -what a piece of junk. We'll be purchasing another brand-elsewhere."
