"We have a history of buying near the bottom of the price points for grills. You know the grills that do their job, mostly, and are dead inside of 2 years. Well, our last purchase did just as expected and there is no love lost here.
We chose the Brinkman 4 burner (Model 810-8410-S) over the others in it’s price category for a host of reasons; size of usable cooking surface, porcelain coated grates, spacing of ribs on the grates, 4 burners, the warming rack is attached to unit itself and not the lid.
When we went to pick it up at the Lacey, WA location, we were blown away by the customer service. That doesn’t have anything to do with the grill, but felt it worth mentioning because it matters to us where we by our products. The referral for a product also generally goes along with where you bought it.
Assembly: Pretty easy all things considered. We put out the announcement of a test run and our neighbors were showing up inside of an hour. With that time frame, I was able to assemble and transport the grill from garage to back patio easily.
Cooking: The grill does it very well. You still have to learn its secrets like any other grill we have owned but it didn’t take long. The temperature adjustment is even and predictable which makes life easier. We were able to go from indirect cooking to direct cooking in the same session. London broil, burgers and brats were cooked perfectly on its maiden voyage. It nailed it then and hasn’t changed in the 3 months of hard grilling we’ve thrown at it. No A/C in the house, so hot days become outdoor cooking days and this summer has been perfect for it.
We are very impressed by this grill. Our opinion is that for the money it has outshined all the others we’ve ever owned. We really can not anything to lis tin the con category. It performs perfectly every time, build quality is above par for the price range and it looks great. It feeds the four of us quickly on any given night and handled the Fourth of July like my brothers $600+ unit. We strongly recommend this grill."
