"I bought the Admiral dryer about a month ago. It dries so much faster than dryer I had. Quieter, clothes come out fluffier and I dearly love wide door on dryer. It gives you so much more room loading and unloading. The Home Depot people brought, installed and leveled. They were so nice. Going to get washer to match dryer. Old washer still working, but if a new washer improves my life as much as new dryer will be well worth purchase."

"Affordable and a good quality. I bought it about 4 months ago and still love it.
My only small complaint is, I have limited space in my utility room so I have to leave my detergent and softener on top of it, and the lint trap in also on the top. I wish it were inside the door."

"I LOVE this dryer! It came in perfect condition... We hooked it up and boom! I started drying our clothes almost immediately. It heats quickly - has 4 main settings. It dries a complete load of laundry and the drying turn-around time is fast! Towels take a little longer, so I set them for two rounds, but otherwise you couldn't ask for a better dryer for the value/price! I got the extended warranty (just in case) however... it runs wonderfully - it doesn't take a lot of energy (couldn't help but notice the GE stamp on most of the parts), the lint filter is easy to remove and clean and it's super quiet. This is most definitely a MUST BUY! =)"

"This dryer would be ok if it allowed longer than 30 minute cycles. It's annoying to run the cycle only to have still damp clothing 30 minutes later when it's done. We have to run everything twice. The timed cycle is only 30 minutes. You can't dry clothes in 30 minutes! Very annoying. Giving it a 3 because it does work well, but you have to remember to go out and turn it on for a 2nd 30 min cycle. Still better than my old dryer."

"The price was great and the reason i bought this product. i have only used it a few times yet but the Energy Preferred Auto dry seems to work really great. My clothes are dry in abt 20 minutes. That should really save me a lot on my electric bill. They were not overly dry either like a lot of Auto Dry cycles do."

"We just purchased this dryer as a replacement for a more expensive brand that only lasted a few years. It doesnt have all the bells and whistles, but has more than others with a low price. I would definitley recommend this to anyone on a budget, especially if its an emergency replacement like mine. The installation took maybe 15 minutes and they were very professional. I dont have any complaints so far, it works great for a family of four."

"Dryer works well but disappointed with settings. Says it has 5 cycles but only 4: Auto sense dry HIGH heat, timed dry low and timed dry high; no heat fluff. Wish it had auto dry energy preferred on a low or medium heat. All my clothes have to be timed dry low and since it only goes to 30 minutes, I have to put them through twice most times.Auto dry energy sense is only good for towels, sheets and anything that won't shrink or can stand high heat.
Guess I needed to check it out closer before I bought it."

"I have had this dryer now for over a week. I've used it alot as my laundry had piled up. No problems so far. I've been impressed by this dryer. The price had me a bit leary of the quality but the reviews were good so I took the plunge. It dries my clothes in less time than my old dryer. The installers were professional, knew exactly what they were doing. They changed the door opening, which has worked out very well too. I would highly recommend this dryer and Home Depot"

"First the pros: Nice large capacity. If I had a family this would be great. Being single, it's great for a load of towels and sheeets. Runs quiet. No complaints and I live in an apartment and the dryer is on a shared wall. Cons: I have to run the dryer on high heat through 3 cycles before a small load of clothes gets remotely dry. No buzzer to signal the cycle has ended (though that's not a huge deal). Will be calling Home Depot to come check out the dryer to see if there is something wrong with this machine."

"So far this dryer has been really wonderful. I've noticed that it drys my clothes SUPER FAST, which of course is great! It's not loud at all...which I was expecting it to be. It doesn't shake and it's not that hard to install. So overall if you're looking for an affordable dryer that works really well this is the one for you!"

"This dryer is nothing fancy, but it does a super job of drying our clothes. The extra volume capacity of this dryer (6.5 cu.ft.)versus our old one (5 cu.ft.) is really appreciated. The settings of the dial are straightforward, and the top mounted lint screen is easy to access. The delivery people were courteous and helpful as well.

"The computer board has failed on this dryer. It turns and blows but no heat and it never turns off. I looked at more expensive models as a replacement but they all seem to have their problems, I think quality is a thing of the past on appliances. At the price for a new one repair is out of the question, simply not worth it.
As a result, I'm buying another one just like it but with the two year extended warranty so for the next three years if it dies at least I'll get a new one in a couple of days.
What can I say, it's a cheap dryer, get the 70 dollar extended warranty And it's a tolerable risk."

"I bought this dryer because I was on a budget and I am pleased. Our "old" dryer had given out and we needed to find something quickly. Even though none of the local Home Depots had one in stock, they were able to deliver one in just a few days so our laundry did not pile up. The "Energy Preferred" setting works like a charm; we usually wash the comforter on our bed weekly and in our old dryer, this took like 90 minutes to get barely dry. With the Energy Preferred setting, everything is dry when you open the door. I and my wife are pleased!!!"
