Best Appliance Investment Ever,
December 22, 2009
By peterh
"I am extremely pleased with my appliances purchase I bought the pair of stackable maytag epicz washer and dryer appliances because it promised to be energy saving. I definitely saw that my water bill and electric bill didn't go up at all. I am so glad for that especially with the summers we have in AZ. I saved money and my clothes look great, the colors are alive, my delicates and hand washables can be thrown in the washer and set to those specific settings and they come out perfect unharmed. I recommend this product to everyone its not tooo expensive and its stylish front loaders just an awesome product."

"I bought this washer for my new house; stacked it with the matching Epicz dryer. I love it! Takes a nice big load, uses very little detergent and gets the clothes clean! Extracts a lot of water, but the clothes don't come out mangled. Highly recommend this washer."

So far its everything we hoped for,
June 8, 2009
By FatCatSPK
from Brick, NJ
"We've only had the washer for a few days but so far its pretty much everything you can ask for. Its quiet, holds a lot, and with its EnergyStar rating we're hoping it reduces both our water and energy bills which was our main motivation for making the purchase. The washer we had in the house was built in 1994 and came with the house when we bought it last year. Quarterly our water bills, for just two people with no kids (yet), were over $200 so we're hoping for a large reduction based on the specifications of the Maytag Epic Z since the only other water large water usage is showers and toilets and I've made them as water efficient as I can for now. The washer drank a lot so we're hopeful.
What is also worth noting is that the Epic Z spins the clothes out so well that what would nornally have taken an hour or so to dry in the dryer, now takes 30-40 minutes depending on the load (towels take longer as you could guess) so we're going to see a reduction in our natural gas usage as well.
Overall I'm very please and Depot delivered, hooked it up and balanced it within 1/2 an hour so that was incredibly painless."

Great washer,

"I bought this washer about a week ago and i'm glad I picked this one. It has everything I was looking for and more. The max exract option leaves my clothes so much dryer than my old machine. They dry so much faster now. I;m really glad for the water savings as well since the rate is going up soon. The delivery guys were great too. They came on time and they worked fast, but not rushed. They made sure everything was set up right and level and even cleaned up after themselves."

Great products,
May 11, 2009
By CarolineM

"I've had my EpicZ washer and dryer from about two months ago and I wish I'd bought them sooner. The clothes are much cleaner. Also, I used to handwash my cashmere sweaters, but now I can just throw them in handwash.
With the laundry room next to the TV room, I needed fairly quiet appliances, and they have not disappointed.
The only MINOR niggle is having to clean the lint trap EVERY time you use the dryer. But that's not much of a hardship."

Great Washer!!,

"Washer is awesome but installers were in a hurry to set up & leave and didn't bother to level the machine or clean off the glue from the protective wrapping. Also if you never had a washer/dryer before you will need to purchase the VENT TO THE OUTSIDE which is not included in the install kits!!"

Can't beat this deal!!! Home Depot ROCKS!!!!,
March 21, 2009

"Buying this machine with Home Depot was a wonderful experience. We got the lowest price around...and the rebates were an added bonus. The machine is a winner..and I actually read these other reviews before I purchased this model. The only thing I would like to suggest is if you want to stack your machine make sure to ask the associate about the harnesses needed for this. Also after using the washer a bit of water collects in the door/rubber closing area. After we are finish washing for the day we wipe the area with a dry towel and sometimes leave the door ajar for a bit . I also want to say the control locks are fabulous for keeping our 2 and 3 year old little girls from messing with the machines!! I would highly recommend these energy savers!!!"

"My husband bought a maytag w/d in 1982. It did multipule loads of laundry for 22 years. Last night he hooked up this new front loading stackable maytag w/d at 1am and we literally watched the washing machine wash our clothes! It uses 1 TABLESPOON of detergent per load. After 50 minutes we changed over the laundry in the new matching dryer and went to bed. At 1pm I removed the laundry from the dryer NO WRINKLES!!! after 12 hours of being in the dryer my clothes had no wrinkles. This w/d makes laundry fun if thats possible. you can put 16 large towels and washclothes in 1 load! Awesome cleaning ability and I know for certain of maytag dependability!"

Great Washer/Dryer Combo,
November 30, 2008
By Mrwswd

"Bought this set about 8 months ago and it works great. My parents have been using a Kenmore/Maytag front loader for over 10 years with no issues so I decided to buy a Maytag set for myself and it works great. Quiet, dependable and great looking too. In fact I have purchased nothing but Maytag Appliances for my house. I would definitely recommend a Maytag or Whirlpool (Same Company Now) to anyone!"

"I have owned this machine for three months and love it. It's quiet, it saves water, and it reduces drying time. With three young adults in my household, the machine is almost always in use. It's ability to effectively clean large loads of clothes is a great plus. The price is right with the rebate."

I love my new washer!!,
September 3, 2008
By anniebtx
from Austin, TX
"I just bought this washer last week and it's working great. I decided not to get the steam option that you get with the higher price point washers mostly because I didn't think I would really make that much use of it. I replaced a 10 year old Maytag and I love the reduced noise of the front loader compared with the top loader. This also has a lot more options for washing delicates and even handwash loads. I don't like to mess around with laundry that much but I think those options will help save some of my clothes.
I would highly recommend doing the wash the washer cycle before you wash any clothes to get the new washer smell out.

Great Machine,
July 24, 2008
By neesy
"I love this machine. I have had no problems with vibration as one user did. I know mine was set up level. Gets clothes cleaner. I notice the lint filter in my dryer is not as full as the washer is easier on clothes compared to the agitator type washing machine. That will be a long run savings. This machine is very quiet even on the final spin. I can get more laundry done. The wash cycles are longer on this one, so you just have to time things different. Clothes in dryer are dry before second load is done washing so you don't have to wait for dryer time. Old Maytag agitator had a 2,4,6,8,12 minute wash cycles. Holds a larger load so do not have leftover things to wash on a smaller load later.
I highly recommend the Epicz.

Good Machine!,

By mmummyfatima

"I bought this machine 3 months ago and all I can say is waw.
I've never thought that doing laundry can be so fun .
This machine is so quiet sometimes I forget that it is on it uses a very low amount of detergent and water
the only reason i won't give a five star is because it makes alot of noise on the high spin.

Love my new washer!,
June 15, 2008
By LexisMom
from Santa Cruz, California
"My family said I was obsessed with doing laundry the first day we got our new Epic Z-- I did load after load and even sat in front of it to watch how it worked. I saw how my towels had tons of old soap left in them from my old washer, how dry they came out of the washer and how fresh everything smells! I do make a point of wiping the rubber seal in the door opening where water gathers, to prevent mildew smell. It does get a bit loud when it does the high speed end spin--but it hasn't jumped around on the floor. Mine is on the second floor. I love doing laundry!"

Wonderful machine,
May 17, 2008
By HomeMommy
"Having children I do a lot of laundry and didn't realize how unclean our clothes were from our old machine, until we got this one. One reviewer said their machine vibrate badly, probably because they were not setup correctly. We use ours as stackables and have had not problems at all. And I love you only have to use a very small amount of soap! The clothes come out almost dry too! Love it!"
