"I have enough neighbors over that the large cooking surface is ideal. Issues I have read regarding the hot spots are actually irrelevant. I have used charcoal grills and gas grills and there is not one manufactured that does not have hot spots.
Use the warmer areas for faster cooking or more well cooked meats. Cooler areas for more rare meats. Learn to use the areas for appropriate temps.
The side burners are fantastic! I have not learned how to use the searing burner yet, but look forward to it.
I agree with the other poster that an accessory fan under the light hood would be a nice addition.
Also, an accessory lid, similar to an overturned wok would make capturing the heat easier. Similar to closing the lid on other styles of grills.
It is HEAVY! But then again, I am not worried about summer storms overtuning the grill.
I bought this grill on sale (Actually a Christmas present from my significant other) and found the value it represents does nothing more than reinforce how fantastic this Luxury Gourmet Cooking Island is!
