RED 3 Zone LP Gas Grill

Flavor for you. The 100% infrared heat sears in flavor and keeps foods moist and juicy, not dried out. Simply drop wood chips through the grates and watch them start to smoke on the u. A wide temperature range for intense searing at the cooking surface down to slow-and-low barbequing and rotisserie cooking.

Rust already??,
September 16, 2009
By GH

"Purchased this grill just 3 months ago for over $700 dollars. The burners are rusted, both "U"'s are cracked on the bottom and rusted. Some of the stainless steel is tarnished and won't clean up. The ceramic coated cast iron grates will not come clean no matter how long one leaves the grill on the "clean" setting. Unhappy!!!"

AMAZING!!! Best grill ever!,

"We just got this grill to replace an older non-infrared grill. I have used several different types of grills, charcoal and LP, and I have never seen one perform as well as this.
I did a lot of research on many grills before finally settling on this one, and I am glad I did. The Red does everything it said it did and even better.
Pork, steak, burgers and even chicken.... nothing sticks to the grates!! It sears perfectly and seals in the flavors and it grills just as well. Now, for the clean-up... just turn it to clean, let it go for about 10-15 minutes, then wipe out the ashes at the bottom. That's it!!
The people that gave this grill a less than perfect review are either not using it right or they are talking about cosmetic issues.(just read the reviews) This is nothing short of the best idea for a grill I have ever seen.
I would definitely recommend this grill to anyone, whether someone new to grilling or a seasoned outdoor chef!!

The best grill I've had yet,

"My daughters bought the " BIG RED " as we call it, for my b-day/father's day. I have never cooked on a grill that is so even, no hot spots, no cold spots, just great grilling everytime. My fav is the cleaning, or should I say no cleaning. Turn the knob and it's ready to go. I love this grill. THANKS to Charbroil and my girls...Good call."

Phenomenal!... So Far,

"I hemmed and hawed about buying this grill for weeks, spent hours reading reviews online and spent so much time in the grill department at the local hardware stores, they probably thought I was a new employee. Being a new type of grill I was very hesitant to buy it and was going back & forth between this and a weber genesis. From the online feedback, I gathered that it was great to cook on but there were questions about its durability (I read numerous places the U plate cracks and rusts quickly and the exterior wears easily).
Ok, here's where I get excited. I have been dying to write this review. I picked this thing up the right before the 4th of July weekend and have probably NOT grilled on it 3 or 4 days since I have had it, somedays mulitple times. All the food turns out awesome. Seriously. I had a party the weekend I got it and not having much experience with the new grill I was a little nervous about how the food was going to turn out. (side note - I suck at grilling. Food I grilled on my old grill NEVER turned out, burned, dry, undercooked; you name it, I messed it up) Anyway, I had everyone bring something and I cooked BBQ ribs, hotdogs, hamburgers, shrimp skewers, brats, maranated chicken breast (in wishbone robusto italian overnight (spectacular)) and everything turned out perfect. Seriously. No I don't work for Char Broil or Home Depot. I am just so excited that I decided on this grill and hope if you are on the fence you take a leap of faith and try it.
As for the lasting power, I don't know. As for the exterior, I bought some good quality cleaner and a thick cover (don't bother with the charbroil $50 cover, I think I paid 20) and make sure I clean and cover it after every use. The U burner, I hear, has a 2 year warranty and then after that, it would be worth it to me just to replace it for how well this grill works.
My recommendation is don't go with the cheaper red model that is all stainless steel. It is noticably lighter and "cheaper feeling" when you handle it. The "professional" series infrared I heard is a nightmare to clean up, so I would stay away from that as well.
I truly hope this helps and you enjoy your grill as much as I do."

"I bought this Grill for my boyfriend's birthday last month. Wow what a great product. It was pretty easy to set up, and it cooks everything perfectly.
So far we have made BBQ chicken, top serloin, tri-tip, and corn on the cob. This grill cooks to perfection. The meat stays juicy and tender.
I would totally reccomend this Grill to anyone."

"Big dent/warp in bottom back made doors not close. Too lazy to take back but disappointed at this price. Pretty flimsy sheet metal.
The cooking was amazing. Fast, seared great, smoked great. The grill bars themselves had food stick to them that did not come off with the clean cycle. Wish they were stainless."

Infrared Rocks,

"We bought this grill about a month ago to replace an aging (10 year old) Aussie grill. What a difference. We took it home in the box and assembled it in the kitchen in about an hour. Very simple. Intending to put this grill to the test we have grilled every type of food from seafood to steaks and it all came out perfectly. The side burner produces enough heat to steam shrimp or boil corn on the cob in minutes. The most amazing thing is the amount of gas that we use when grilling. There was about about 3/4 of a tank of propane from the old grill and it's still going after 25 nights of grilling (even using the self clean feature). Meats sear without any problem and BBQ'ing has been fun again. Amazing product, highly recommend (and I have!)."

Really good,

"I purchased this product in June 2008 and have had it now for about 1 year. It is just as good as advertsied. It cooks quickly and evenly. I use it all year averaging 1-2 times per week. The cooking grates are heavy duty, the top is very heavy duty and it has burned perfectly every time. The only drawback is the spotting and staining of the outside surfaces. I keep it covered, yet it still looks dirty and used. To be expected I guess. I would highly recommend this infrared cooking grill to anyone. It seems to be worth the money."

Best Grill,

By jhill71

"I purchased this grill last week. First I was surprised how easy this grill was to assemble. The grill works fantastic. I use the preheat setting to get it ready. So far I have grilled hamburgers, steaks and chicken just in the last few days. Everything comes out very tender and juicy. After I finish I move the settings to clean and in just a couple of minutes the grill has baked everything off the grill just use a brush to lightly pust the little bits into the easy to clean tub.I waited over a year to get and I am very happy."

Best & Easiest Grill,

"I have had this grill for about a month, you spend less time actually grilling, which means less gas used, and the clean mode makes it a snap to clean. Just turn it to clean, it turns the food particles to ash, then simply use a brush to brush them off."

Satisfied User,

"I purchased my grill June 2008 and have had it almost a year.
This is my first gas grill, my former grills were Weber Charcoal Grills, I procrastinated a long time about changing to gas. I still miss the flavor of the charcoal grill. I add the wood chips in the troughs, but it still is not the same.
The technology used provides a very even heat across the grill, there are no hot spots. The temperature is easily controlled on the grill. I also purchased a rotisserie which I have been very satisfied with. When we have friends over for a cook out they are impressed with the ease of cooking on the grill.
I have not found the self-cleaning to work for me, all it done was bake it on and use a lot of gas. I quit doing the self-clean, turn it off when finished and later clean the grill the old fashion way.
I have had a couple of issues with the grill and Char-Broil resolved them. First was a broken weld on the warming rack when I took it out of the box, I called Char-Broil and they quickly sent me a replacement. I also had an issue with the coating on the troughs popping off, I called Char-broil and this time they requested photos of the troughs before sending out replacements. I have been satisfied with their service, they stand behind their warranty.
I am satisfied with the grill and would buy another.

This grill does everything it says it will do,
April 18, 2009

"This grill cooks food in 1/2 the time of any other grill we've had. The first time we used it my husband came about 15 minutes after he put them on and said they are done. I looked at him and said "No way!" The New York Strips come out so juicy that I don't have to use steak sauce, because there is enough of the au jous on the plate to dip it in...kind of like prime rib has. I may go broke buying those steaks because you don't have to wait too long to tantalize your tastebuds with this grill. I got such an amazing deal on this at the Home Depot in the store. $450.00 and it was already assembled. They assembled it well. We've had it for 2 months and have not had any problems with parts coming off or falling apart. It really is a well built grill."

disappointed,
April 13, 2009

"We are disappointed in the quality of this product.
We purchsed this grill in May 2008. The price of 599.00 was alittle high but we thought the grill was nice and had the features we were looking for and Charbroil has been making grills for a long time so we made the purchase.
We also purchased the 50.00 cover for the grill as recommeded by the associated. Unfortunately, the markings on the front of the grill that indicated temp and function, are already wearing off. They appear to just be painted on some how so they are not weather resistance at all. The grill is covered most of the time, but over the weekend or holiday we will keep it uncovered if the weather is nice. Also, one of the burners has already stoped working. Very disappointed and currently speaking with Charbroil in regards to the one year warrranty. Hopeully they will replace the grill with one that will last longer than a year.

Best Grill Ever Used,
December 2, 2008
By Thunderingbass
from Amarillo, Texas
"This grill is by far one of the best built and strongest materials used at any price range. The grill can be used as a smoker with great results. The grates are comerical quality and easy cleaning with the self cleaning setting. There is more than enough cooking serface for a family of 6. We use it almost nightly and have had it for about 3 months and still on the 1st bottle of propane even after smoking a Turkey for Thanksgiving. Was the juiciest and most tender turkey I have ever ate. There is no need to buy the 4 burner version of this grill unless your cooking for 10 people regulary. I would recommend this grill to anyone family friends you name it. I have family that said they do not like propane grills because of the taste but after they have tried food cooked on this grill they have changed there mind."

Rust,

"I bought he grill two weeks ago. Already, the stainless steel is showing signs of rust. It works very well and is easy to clean, just not high enough quality. Also, the doors do not align properly. I will return it and wait to see if they can make a quality grill. For $600, it shouldn't have any problems."

Great Grill,

"I have only had my grill a shrt time but i have found it to be all the manufacture said it is. I am having a problem with the side burner self ingnition. I get a spark but the gas does not ignite all the time. I am not returning the grill because of this "minor" issue. I know, when you pay $600 for something it is expected to work 100% but in this case I think i will let it sliide. If anyone knows what can be done to remedy this problem, please let me know."

Good Grill When In Good Shape,
May 12, 2008
By iupui1299
from Indianapolis, IN
"I bought this grill after reading many, many reviews. When I opened the box the bottom of the grill was damaged. It looked like it had been kicked in. I finished putting the grill together and everything worked great. However, once my wife saw the dent she wanted me to take it back. I had to agree with her...if you pay $600 for a grill it should be dent free. So I returned it, which was a pain, considering how heavy the grill was and having to lift it into the bed of my truck. So I exchanged it and got a new grill that had already been put together. Got it home and the side burner does not self light. I have to use a lighter to get it to light. There is also one screw missing on the right shelf. With the exception of the mishaps the grill is great. It cooks great and gets very hot. I will get the burner working on my own because there is no way I am lifting this thing again and taking it back. I ordered an extra hardware set so I can put in the missing shelf screw. I do recommend this grill just check it out real good before taking it home."
