"Do not hesitate to purchase this washer. If you are even considering the Kenmore line (more expensive) or the Maytag (slightly less), make sure you look at this one. Those were my top choices after a lot of consumer research.
This washer has humongous capacity. It has cut the number of loads of wash per week in half. It also uses less than 1/3 the amount of water. It cleans better than my old super capacity toploader. One of my first loads was of my husbands stained, ground in, grubby work clothes. They came out cleaner than they had been after previous washings with my old washer.
Speed wash for lightly soiled loads only takes 30 mins. Some of the other cycles can take from 1 to 1-1/2 hours. Due to being able to put so much more in a load, this is not a major inconvenience.
Steam cycle is great for refreshing a dry clean item or for removing wrinkles.
I do have this on the main floor of the house on wooden floor. It does vibrate a bit, but has caused no problems. The machine itself shakes, but does not walk around the room. I cannot feel it throughout the house, only in the adjacent powder room.
Washer is very quiet, other than when it is going into high spin mode. Even then, it cannot be heard two rooms away, and if I shut the laundry room door, you can't hear it at all.
I can't say enough about this washer. It has been a terrific investment. I had been looking at these for a couple of years, after my dryer broke down, and couldn't bring myself to spend the money to replace a washer that, albeit ancient, still worked. HD was having their floor model clearance, and at the sale price, I simply couldn't pass it up any longer. I do not regret that decision. In time savings, energy and water savings, this washer will pay for itself, and we have cleaner clothes to boot."
