The Bosch 34618 1/2 in. 18-volt cordless compact tough drill-driver is designed to provide increased maneuverability in tight spaces and help reduce user fatigue. This powerful 18-volt tool operates at up to 1,450 RPM and features a high-torque mode that produces 390 in. lbs. of force. A DuraShield housing ensures that this drill is tough enough to withstand real-world conditions, and a ratcheting, single-sleeve 1/2 in. chuck makes performing 1-handed bit changes a cinch.

I am an Electrician and use my Bosch drill on a daily basis. I have owned numerous drills over the years and I would take this drill over the more expensive dwlt, mkta, milwke drills in a second. This drill is by far and away the best drill for the price and every bit as good or better than the big 3!!!! Dont even waste your money on the others that cost twice the amount!!!!!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Bought this as a gift for my Dad. He has 50 plus years in carpentry/construction and so far so good. 2 batteries and a case was the selling point, for the price you can't beat it.

I purchased this drill a few weeks ago to use for work and around the house. I did so mainly because of the price and the rave reviews I found online.
Let me tell you, I used the drill today for 6 hours straight taking down some work stations in an office. Pulled out hundreds of screws, square bits and nuts. The drill worked to perfection. The chuck was easy to use. The battery was still going strong when I finished the day. And with the angled design the drill never fell over (not even with a guide in the chuck). I'm so pleased with the purchase. Would recommend this drill 100%!!!!
Yes, I recommend this product.

As a homeowner, I have gone through about three different cheaper cordless drills (up to $55 ones), and let me tell you, those are all GARBAGE compared to this one!! This works as well as my corded 1/2 drill, and I am very pleased! Two batteries, 30 minute charger with this kit, and a case. This is a bargain folks!! Get one today!!

I am impressed with the quality of this drill. Does not bog down putting in deck screws. Plenty of torque. The battery holds a charge very well. Not too heavy. Much better than the Makita I had that it replaces.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Did a lot of research on my purchase. Compared and contrasted. Used my neighbors' Makita, and my other neighbors DeWalt. Bought the Porter Cable and returned it. Bought this online based on reviews and a gut feeling, and trusted that it would be good. Was i right about this Bosch? Wow...... Quick Rundown:
Warranty: Register your drill online with Bosch's free ProVantage warranty. Easy process - just make a screen name and type in your drill's serial #. 3 years on the drill, 2 years on each battery. Need i say more about the quality you're getting, or the sense of security you'll have after this purchase?
Batteries: The NiCad's work great. No loss to the Li Ion batteries that you "should" be buying now. They really do charge in 30 minutes, and they last so long that you really only need one. But two is great. They are not as heavy as my previous NiCad's on my old B&D.
Power: All the power you'll ever need. 20 settings, with two speeds. Mean motor. 'nuff said.
Design: Really comfortable in your hands. Well-designed. Not the lightest drill i've ever held, but it's lighter than most. It's called "compact" but it's pretty much a full-sized drill. Really like that it stands up on its own even with an extended bit in the chuck. The design tilts it up so it never falls over - which is one of those little things that makes a huge difference. The chuck is quality - i have not had a bit slide out yet. Nice ratchet action.
Online experience: Never bought a tool online. Pretty smooth. They sent the free UPS tracker. It shipped to my door in 3 days. Everything was like it should be. Just didn't like waiting 'till it came, because I'm impatient.....nothing they can do about that.
Cons: Only one. the bit that comes with it doesn't stay docked on the drill very well. It doesn't clip on like most, it has a hole that it slides into horizontally on the back of the handle. It slides around in their - but that is pretty minor. I use a speed set anyways so I just took the bit out. Hasn't affected me at all, just worth noting.
Bottom line: You wouldn't go wrong paying $200 for this drill. For a hundred bucks, just get it. This was my first Bosch purchase and i was so impressed i have since bought the Bosch router, corded reciprocating saw, and jig. I am a Bosch man and this drill is what did it for me. It'll do it for you, too. Good luck.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I've only used this Bosch 34618 once so far but I am really impressed. I have never had an expensive cordless drill before nor a 1/2" drive either but I can say that this little baby feels like pro quality. It charged quick and easy and the power was surprisingly good! I used it to drill 1/2" holes through floor joists and 2x4's. About 10 holes total and it never showed any signs of being under powered or losing battery power either. For $100 and the included spare battery and case, I'd buy it again in a heartbeat!
Yes, I recommend this product.
