We've had the washer/dryer pair for 10 months. They are very quiet, efficient, and easy on clothes. I love the wrinkle free and steam fresh features on the dryer! We purchased the pedestals- highly recommended. I'm 5'8", can't imagine having to move loads without the boost from the pedestals. I open the drawers when I'm moving laundry and anything that falls out hits the drawer, not the floor. I store my clean rags in the drawer.
I'd give it 5 stars, except part of the sealing strip around the lint trap has come loose already! Still seems to work fine. Just annoying!
We purchased white rather than colored, because my husband pointed out that if one of the pair goes we can always replace with a matching white. It can be difficult to match colors after a few years.
Yes, I recommend this product.

unfortunately, the description does not indicate HOW the steam is brought into the dryer. in this case, the dryer has a small tub that must be MANUALLY filled with water in order to use a steam option. similar to filling an iron with water.
no wonder this was the cheapest of the steam dryers! more costly models hook-up directly to the cold water hose and water is brought in automatically as-needed.
the dryer works fine... but i paid a few hundred more dollars and still have to worry about filling water. i could've spent alot less money on a non-steam dryer, then bought a spray bottle for less than $1 and manually sprayed the clothes myself!
No, I do not recommend this product.

I purchased this dryer a couple weeks ago along with the matching Steamwasher, and really like this set. Most of all, like the Steam Refresh setting in the morning to cut down on ironing time - has worked well in reducing wrinkles in dress pants and shirts. Also works great for getting cigarette or cigar smoke out of clothes after being out in a bar. Operates very quietly as well.

We have had the LG Steam Washer and Dryer now for a month. We originally looked at the most expensive Steam set that comes in blue but realized we didn't need all the extras. I wasn't crazy about white, but decided to choose function over form and it's ridiculous how much I love the set. Thanks to the Steam Dryer I put my iron in the closet. It works great on dress clothes and jeans, even the ones that have been wadded in a laundry basket for some time. The 20 minute steamfresh cycle takes the wrinkles out, but I do recommend doing a 5-7 minute cycle on low afterwards because the clothes will be damp from the steam. The manual recommends hanging them, but it's faster to use a cycle. I usually use the pre-set cycles but have used the speed dry function as well. I am so happy with this set. We had a 10 year old top load set before and I am amazed at how dry clothes are with the LG Steamwasher, which cuts down on dry time. I absolutely recommend this set. It's worh every penny. I also recommend the pedestals. I am 5-2 and with the pedestals the doors are directly in front of me so I don't have to bend down at all to put clothes in and out. We store detergent and dryer sheets in the pedestals and it saves space. Again, love, love, love this set!
Yes, I recommend this product.

I am in love with My LG Steam Washer, and bought this unit to go with it, thinking one should always buy the pair when you can... Most "like" items work best when used in conjunction with each other. I love the dryer as well, but- to be honest- I probably should have saved a few bucks and NOT gotten the steam dryer, and just bought another LG product. Every time my husband has used the steam function, his shirt gets soaked! There are no wrinkles, but what's the point if you feel like you just got out of the shower with your clothes on when the cycle is completed? The rest of the functions are fine, and I have not had trouble with balance issues or excessive noise or ANYthing else! But in order to use the steam feature, you then have to dry the item AFTERWARDS as well, and that then makes the wrinkle free steam feature not quite as "accurate", "easy", and -in short- it is just not cost effective! I am still within the 30 days, and could exchange the dryer for another, but I am not unhappy enough with my purchase for that action. I would just advise those that are thinking of making this purchase SOLELY for the steam feature to rethink their impending purchase. BY ALL means get the steam washer!!! But you could do just as well with a different, less expensive LG model for your drying needs!
Yes, I recommend this product.

My husband and I bought this dryer to match the LG washing machine WM2487HWMA. What attracted us to it was the steam option. It truly works. It's nice when your clothes are a little rumpled and you just don't feel like ironing (who does?). They smell so nice and they are not spotty which can happen with a hand held steamer. The chime is very pleasant as opposed to the traditional beep or buzzer on a regular dryer. I didn't stack my LG's but I plan to do so in the future when we move to another place or I may buy the pedestals. The controls are clear and easy to read without my glasses. I'm glad we bought this dryer. We just installed it yesterday and I have done six loads. I haven't had to put anything back in to dry some more, everything has been dried just perfectly and not overly done either. I'm impressed. I hope that it holds up for a very long time at this price.
Yes, I recommend this product.
