My favorist edger

I've used McLane 3.5HP edger/trimmer for a long time, it's a very good product(s); but the manifacture does not have a design with electric start. So I bought this Eartquake Electric Starter Edger about 3 weeks to replace my Mc Lane one that needs to pull more than one time to start now. After my Earthquake Electric Start Edger had a full charge (over night) and I followed its instructions carefully; it starts at the first start every time smoothly. Cutting blade speed is easy controlled. It uses a mixed gas+oil with 1:50 ratio (not 1:40 as some other made small engine edgers). It's my Favorist Eger and I like it very much. One thing I'd like to bring to your attention Is " Read the user manual carefully before you do anything".
Home Depot shipped it very fast; thanks.
Good luck to you all.

Electric start sealed the deal

Due to back pain I had found it impossible to use my string trimmer for edging much less trimming. I search high and low for a walk behind edger and just wasn't impressed with what the local stores carried. Then I started searching on the Internet. Found a couple but they were way out of my price range. Then I checked HomeDepot.com and there it was! The reviews were great as were the product design and specs. The real kicker was the electric start option. Just what the doctor ordered! No more pulling strings along with my back! The Earthquake has a string if you need it. What I don't understand is why I had never heard of it until I found it on HomeDepot.com. The company has been in business for 50 years and manufactures several other pieces of outdoor equipment. Heck, they even have their own engines named Viper. If you are looking for a walk behind edger then you can stop looking. This is the one.

Ordered this for my husband his birthday. He was very excited when I showed it to him on line as he wanted an electric edger and had never heard of an electric start gas edger. It came, he put it together, got it up and running in no time at all. Although he has only used it once, he said it works great and is more than happy with it.

No, I do not recommend this product.
I can not give a 0 because there is not one. After 3 minutes of using this edger, the blade quit moving; I called and I was advised by a very nice lady at the the Home Depot Customer Service, to take it to a service repair shop; they told me that the clutch was deffective and it should be replaced, it took more than one week to repaired and now it appears to be working. The manual of intructions is terrible, the machine is very flimsy and feels that it is going to fall appart at any moment. A piece of junk. The Home Depot Customer Service is very good and very helpful, thanks.

No, I do not recommend this product.
The product did not idle and kept stalling when the gas lever was engaged. The assembly and operating instructions could have been more descriptive. Returned it back to the store for a refund.

Lightweight and very efficient. It gets the job done, plus it beats a weed wacker for edging your lawn. I love the Earthquake Electric Edger.
