"After years of use, our repeatedly serviced and leaky unit saw its final day. We decided to DIY rather than pay a plumber the quoted several hundred dollars to remove the old one and install a new unit.
After shopping around the big box home and appliance stores for a solid featured unit in the $450-$500 range, we ended our search where it began at Home Depot. Competitively priced, delivery charge rebate and taking away the old unit helped to seal the deal.
We lined the interior cabinet space with a quarter inch moisture proof insulating material to help deaden the sound. While this dishwashers insulation cover seemed less substantial than our old unit, the new unit does an excellent job of sealing the entire front surround with a screw-in rubber liner and several insulating panels in the front bottom to deaden the motor sound.
Instructions were clear and simple to follow. A few basic tools had everything up and running in no time.
Overall we are quite pleased on the sound level and feature front. This unit is much quieter than our old unit andhas the features we where looking for, stainless tub, steam option, cycle delay and control panel with no manual dials or switches.
The quality of the washing cycles we've used so far certainly exceeds that of our old unit.
We would make this purchase again."
