Great for the money, except for a couple of issues,

"I've had this refrigerator now for a cpuple of weeks and for the most part I am happy with it. It is very quiet, has lots of room, keeps things ice cold set at 6 for both the frig and freezer.
There are a few issues. The plastic that protects the stainless steel is impossible to get out from under the water/ ice dispenser trim. When I was pulling the plastic from this trim it popped off and broke the tabs that secure it to the door. I called GE and they sent a replacement with no questions asked! Great service so far! The other two problems are with water dispensing. When you pull the full glass away from the fill arm the water continues to run pass the edge of the glass into the tray. If there is any water in the tray and you open and close the freezer the water will drain behind the trim down the front of the door. There is no seal where the tray touches the door so the water leaks. I sealed it myself and that problem was fixed. It would have received 5 stars if not for these issues."

"I have only had it for a week but the door seals after you close it everytime. My food is so cold. It looks great and it is rated to cost only $54.00/year. All around very pleased.

"Had a previous GE refrigerator that lasted about 30 years with minimal repair needed. So when it came time to needing a new refrigerator for energy efficiency, reliability, and space, a GE was high on my list, and we settled on this one. Spacious with good looks, it also runs remarkably quiet. Stainless steel is a bit of a pain to maintain, but a can of Pledge and a towel helps to keep the stainless steel finish clean and fingerprint-free. Have had this product now for almost a month and am quiet happy with the decision I made to buy this refrigerator."

"this refrigerator/freezer is so big and roomy, i love it. even after i go grocery shopping i have tons of room left in it, it doesn't even look like i went shopping. i was once told real "stainless steel" is non-magnetic. magnets stick to this fridge, whatever that means. as with all stainless steel, fingerprints are a bit annoying but it's still beautiful."

"This refrigerator is the best we could have asked for. It has a lot of room inside and the water and ice on the door was a perfect choice for our family. It is very quiet and keeps everything to the perfect temperature inside. Best of all, the stainless steel finish is beautiful and adds an updated look to our kitchen."

poor design of ice and water dispenser,

"Biggest complaint is design of ice dispenser. My old GE Frig was 29 years old and I loved the shelf capacity as well as the ice & water dispenser. Its a shame that they are no longer using the older size shelves. The ice dispenser on this model is a dual purpose instead of seperate compartments for water and ice. There is no tube protector to keep the crushed ice from splattering all over the front of frig. and splatters onto floor, making a mess everytime you want crushed ice, & because I got it in Stainless steel you have to wipe down every time with ss cleaner and clean cloth.I wish I had gotten this in Clean Steel and I also would have preferred seperate ice and water dispensers with a better down spout with a longer down shoot guard on it to prevent the mess with the ice all over frig. & floor! Because of flaw you can't use a small glass, you must always use a large or wide brimmed glass & make an extra effort to match glass rim to cover the guard to catch all the mess of crushed ice. Also the drip guard beneath the water/ ice dipenser is too small & shallow, dripped water runs out & all over front of frig. and floor ever time the doors are opened, just like the crushed ice mess. Also the shelf space is really limited. Most of them are not adjustable on the door or inside. Too much space wasted between the sides of interior and the shelf itself & space between shelf and door. It's nice to look at, but not practical because of wasted space and poor designed ice maker, dispenser,drip plate. Also door shelves in freezer- useless because they are open on the bottom, so small boxes or packages fall thru & not much else will fit in them."

"This seems to be a very good refrigerator. It has a a filter that purifies the water and ice. It cools adequately and it gives you easy access to everything. I have had it for two weeks and it seems to be a very good buy."
