Its different and quiet running and one would never know its there. The refreshment center door is an added bonus which keeps certain items at hand and saves on opening the whole door. This side by side refrigerator has many features and I would truly recomment it. I have had mine for a month and the whole family just loves it.

This is the 2nd GE refrigerator purchased after 15 years. The first was still working but we are remolding our kitchen and wanted stainless steel. We wanted again the beverage door as it is better energy efficient. The stainless steel is very attractive and really does not leave smudges. We are not disappointment, quiet, great climate controls in freezer and refrigerator compartments. The soda can/beer rack is very handy. Lots of ice cube production. As with most ice dispenser’s ice can go flying all over the place. We place a small bowl to ‘capture’ the ice and avoid ice flying all over-that is the only negative thing I can say.

I bought this fridge a few weeks ago and love it. I think it's the best fridge we ever had. I love the small access door in the front. It makes it so convenient to get some things in and out of the fridge without opening up the big door and wasting all that energy. It is easy to position things in the door bin or on the shelves so you can reach them through the small front door. I also think the rack inside the door for the cans of soda or beer are great. I would highly recommend this fridge.
