Horrible product!,

"We purchased this fridge 6 years ago and have had nothing but problems with it since day one. We've had the doors and ice machine replaced. The freezer breaks at least twice per year. In order to get it working again, we have to take the entire back panel of the fridge apart and defrost it. The ice machine has NEVER worked properly. We have wasted time, $$ and countless hours of frustration trying to get this refridgerator to work properly. Finally, after 6 years the fridge just flat out stopped working and we were forced to purchase an entire new fridge. According to consumer reports, refridgerators are supposed to last 10+ years. We were and are disappointed with our experience and will stay away from GE products from here on out."

"My frig unexpectedly died and I needed one quickly so bought this model (which was also least expensive at the store). Size inside is average for side-by-side. Drawers stick a bit when opening them and my five year old has not mastered them yet. Ice maker is loud."

"I am sooo disappointed with this product. We bought our refrigerator and not even a week later had to call in a service order, because there was water leaking all over the floor and into the freezer. Our food had already been defrosted. The guy from GE came out and said he changed some setting and that he would not be able to come out for another 7 days. WHAT!! We cannot go without a refrigerator for 7 days. So, after my fiancee spoke his mind, the guy agreed to come back the next day. He came back, and informed us that the compressor had already gone out. It didn't even last a week!!! Great, now we have to deal with Home Depot to come pick this refrigerator up and give us a new one. There is no telling when we will have a refrigerator. DO NOT BUY!!"
