My overall rating is zero stars. I have never experienced a good tasting cup of coffee from this coffee maker. I was unable to get the "plastic" taste from leaching into the coffee. In addition, the coffee was never truly hot. After approximately two weeks the machine began to smoke and then burned out.

Not the best for under cabinet or tight spaces

I've had this about a week. It makes a really hot cup of coffee. It looks nice and has nice features (programmable, auto shut off, 1-4 brew. My only complaints (because I squeezed it between appliances and under a cabinet) are that the entire machine top lifts to fill with coffee and water so you need clearance and the water line indicator is on the right side near the back. I need to slide the maker all the way to the edge of my counter to fill it. The water line indicator is also a little hard to read.

We needed a new coffee maker and have had 3 previous Cuisinart coffee makers. This was no surprise. It was great right from the start. As with the previous models, I have no complaints. The only reason I had to replace my other models is that it is used so frequently (several times a day) that it just needs to be replaced. This has been over a 5 to 10 year period. Excellent quality and an excellent product.
The only complaint I have is the way it was shipped. It was supposed to be a Christmas gift, and it arrived in the manufacturers box......spoiling the surprise. The recipient was the one who accepted the delivery.

Great Coffee Maker

This coffee maker is everything it claims to be -- and more. For the price, you simply can't beat it. I love how fast the coffee brews, it's easy to program and easy to set up. Arrived fairly quickly and in good order. Note there is a carbon filter included -- which you have to replace regularly depending upon your use and water -- you have to order those separately. I love the ergonomic handle and pour spout -- tired of coffee spilling all over the place if you tilt the pot too sharply. I'd buy another

This coffee maker is more than what I wanted, the programmable features allows my coffee to be brewed and ready in the morning when I awake. It is easy to operate and the quality is great for the price.

This coffee maker is very easy to use and makes great coffee. We program it every night and wake up to great coffee. It is also easy to clean and doesn't drip when pouring. We like it so much, we also bought the same coffee maker for our cottage.

Our exisiting coffee maker brewed its last cup of coffee last Friday (5/1/09). I'm particular about my coffee and likewise the coffee maker itself. I can't even imagine how many pots of coffee (several hundred?) the old maker brewed over the last 7 years but last Friday, it was time to say "Goodbye"; the water dispensed over the grounds but the heating element wouldn't heat the water anymore. Anyone care for an "Iced Latte"?? After checking Home Depot on-line (for small appliances) I didn't have to look any further. The Cuisinart 12-cup Programmable Coffee Maker was exactly what I was looking for to satisfy my daily 'java fix'. Comparably priced, available in White (to match our other counter-top stuff), AND a "better-than-most" 3 year Mfr. Warranty -- how could I go wrong? Before it arrived, I already smelled the aroma of my favorite coffee wafting thru the kitchen.

Worth every penny

This coffe pot has a lot of great features and it is very easy to use. LOVE the auto timer. I have had quite a few different brands over the years but this one has become the best. I peronally like my coffe really hot, the initial brew is hot and the coffee continues to stay hot. The water filter helps with the beans and the flavor. Cuisinart will be it from now on.
