We just purchased the GE Clean Steel French Door Refrigerator and we love it. It has tons of room and the clean steel is easy to clean and does not leave alot of fingerprints like stainless does.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I am thrilled with this refrigerator! I have had it for a month, it replaced our old style freezer on top, Clean Steel refrigerator and I wish I had bought this one sooner. It is super quiet, the door lets you know if you didn't get it closed, everything is in plain sight and there is a large amount of door storage. I am so much more organized now with less food going bad because I can see what is in there all the time. The freezer had a very strong seal when we first got it, making it difficult to pull open for the first week, but it is much easier to open now. I would definitely buy this product again!
Yes, I recommend this product.

We've had this refrigerator for about 9 months now and we absolutely love it. We can fit two gallons of milk in one door shelf. Also, we moved a shelf from one side of the fridge to the other to allow for taller items on one side. This has worked out great since most items are very short (so having small spaces between shelves on one side is okay). And it allows us to have taller items, which many people complain about with this type of fridge.
Other than having tons of space, the other thing we really like about this fridge is the deli drawer. Meats and cheeses stay good much longer than they did in any other fridge we've owned. Same with the fruit and veggie drawers.
So far I have no complaints!
Yes, I recommend this product.

This refrigerator fits perfectly in the space that i had at home. more than enough space looks very nice inside and outside. the color and the finish are great the fingerprints wipe right off and dries evenly without the streaks. I would recommend this refrigerator for anyone looking to upgrade. I chose the one without a water filter in front i like the clean restaurant look i think it looks more appealing.
Yes, I recommend this product.

My frig just arrived today, and it is gorgeous. The French door look is so sophisticated. I especially like all of the different compartments; the deli tray, the fruit and vegetable drawers, the pizza slot in the freezer. The freezer is so roomy that I was able to put everything from my old frig/freezer and my deeper freezer in there. I couldn't believe it.
The only thing that surprised me were a few smudged fingerprints on the doors and handles which I think are real stainless steel. Since it is clean steel I did not expect any prints, but the delivery guy said to get some ZEP stainless steel cleaner and it would be taken care of. I bought it and it worked great. That product resists fingerprints. I would definetely recommend this refrigerator to a friend. It is worth every penny.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I recently purchased this refrigerator as a Mother's Day gift. I am deployed overseas and was naturaly tennitive about ordering unseen. My mom has wanted a stainless steel fridge for a while now, and I can assure you that she is one happy mom. It's big enough to hold everything they need, and the french style allows my grandmother easy access to the freezer and ice tray. It runs absolutely silent and even my father was impressed with the way the doors are hinged, the dual humidity drawers, the edged shelving and general construction. I am VERY satisfied with this purchase and I'm looking forward to getting another stainless steel piece from Home Depot on her birthday!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Anyone who says they're buying this fridge for the features, is only telling half of the story. French door fridges are relatively new and they catch your eye when you see them at a friends' house. In my case, I walked away with the impression that I would cook more (it calls out to you from the other room), and waste less (you can see everything better in these than in the side by side models - better than our old one, anyway) with a fridge like this. I compared prices, looked for reviews (of which I found woefully few) and shopped and shopped until I found a floor-model on sale.
I've had the fridge for a week or so now, and I still like it a lot (it's certainly a guest-pleaser) but there are a few down-sides I wish someone told me about.
1) The doors tend to stay open. There's a nice beeping sound programmed in to let you know that you've left the door open, and I'm still hoping I may find a way to adjust the door setting...but I fear not. I am used to pushing a fridge door gently and assuming the mechanism will do the rest of the work...but that's not the case here.
2) Is it possible that some fridges retain odor more than others? I noticed that I could smell my food when I opened the fridge the first few times (before I had any baking soda in there) so I got some baking soda and all was well. But tonight I diced too many onions so I put them in a small ziplock in this fridge...and you can really smell them every time you open the door. Maybe it's the brand of baggie I'm using, but I think it's something to do with the fridge too (no, the temp is not too low).
3) That big wide "platter" drawer that makes this model so appealing? Well, it doesn't open unless both doors are open. I thought at least the lift up flap would be openable without opening both doors. But you can't open any of the drawers all the way without opening both doors, so I don't know why I'm surprised. I hope future models go the next step toward energy efficiency by improving these issues.
Despite all of this, I am cooking more and I like the fridge. I'm just hoping I don't discover too many more little flaws as time goes on.
PS: The reason I wouldn't recommend this to a friend is the door closing issue. I'm not married to the GE brand so if I knew what I know now about the doors...I think I'd buy a model with doors that are easier to close.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I have been very happy with this purchase as it is logiciaaly designed for easy access and storage. It is well lite which makes finding things much easier and convenient. I am in love with the refrigerator and it's alarm that reminds you if you have not closed the refrigeratgor door properly. I love the freezer that allows easy access to your frozen goods and again the lighting that makes stoage and retrieval simple and convenient.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This is the finest appliance we have ever owned. It's quiet, so quiet you have to stand beside it to hear it! It has loads of room for everything. The shelves are easy to move around and arrange the way you want them. All of the vegetable and fruit trays, meat trays, freezer trays and so on are just perfect.
The temperature controls are easy and accurate and the whole area in the refrigerator stays the same temp.
Our only problem is that we have to go buy lots more food now to fill it up!
And of course my wife says "it's beautiful too."
Yes, I recommend this product.

The design of this refrigerator does not allow for tall items. The only place for tall items like milk jugs, tall pitchers, soda bottles is in the doors. We can fit (1) one gallon milk container and (1) liter bottle of soda in one door and that's it. In order to store any other tall items, you must slide the top shelf back to 1/2 its size and use the front of the second shelf. The shelf adjustments are very limited and do not allow for anything even the size of a salad dressing bottle to be stored inside the refrigerator - all must go in the door shelves. The doors must be closed manually, they do not close automatically.
The refrigerator has a lighted temperature indicator at the top of the door. This is a nice feature because you can easily keep your eye on the temp. The problem is that it isn't accurate. When I set it at 37 degrees, the milk in the door doesn't stay cold enough and when I lower the temperature to 34 degrees, the fruit and vegetable drawers and the back of the refrigerator freeze!. I just threw out solid lettuce and baby carrots because they were frozen solid.
The other thing is that it is NOT QUIET. It hums many times during the day. At first I thought it might be the ice maker, which I do hear sometimes as the water runs through, but this humming sounds like a small motor.
I would not recommend this to anyone. ALSO BE AWARE - independent repair services are not allowed to service any appliance purchased at a big box store. You MUST go through the manufacturer who will send their authorized repair people to service them. We have used the same applicance repair service for years and now we can't.
No, I do not recommend this product.
