The Rye Grass is a great value turf known for its density, resiliency and durability, but not designed to look 100% natural. Used for dog runs, batting cages and commercial applications. The 1.4 long blades or filaments are fibrillated (divided by raking) for great density. It has a thick layer of interwoven polypropylene filaments (thatch layer) that supports the blades and keeps them standing erect. StarPro Rye Grass is a great border or rough for our putting turf, because its blade height stops the golf ball and its density makes the golf ball sit up nicely for chipping. Infill (sand or tire particulate) is optional (1/2 In. - 1 In.), but adds blade support, softness and extended life. Drains 50 inches per hour. See on-line Installation Instructions. Rolls are 15 wide. 48 oz. Polyethylene/polypropylene. Minimum order: Quantity 2 (2 Ft. x 15 Ft. section of turf).

I bought this as a play area for my grandson. I am very allergic to grass and could not cut the grass in my yard. My grandson also needed a great space to play so I thought this would be the perfect solution to our problem. He has a great yard to play in and I no longer have to worry about cutting the grass. Have had this about 2 weeks and have had a bit of rain, the grass drains water wonderfully and my grandson can play out there without worries. Worked great for my needs!

Hideous! Shiny plastic - does not look like grass at all. Looks more like green raffia straw. Very disappointed and way over priced.

I purchased this grass because it stated Practice Putting Green. My golfer husband said :NOT GOOD FOR PUTTING"
It did not look real, and the texture was so coarse. My tiny dog would not even step on it. It also seem to shed a lot.
In the process of returning it.
No, I do not recommend this product.
