Feature for feature this refrigerator is very competitive and in its price, a good value. It fits a 30 inch space for those who want some style in tight kitchens. I read all of the reviews I could before I bought; some people swear by it and some people don't. Right now it works fine, it is very quiet but when the ice maker dumps a load you do hear it dump the ice but the more full the tray, the less noisy it is. You do hear the water fill the tray but the mechanism sounds sturdy so, "I don't know how 5 seconds of running water could be that disturbing every couple of hours." Like I said, "Just got it a month ago, works as it should (keeps things cold); the features are what they are at this price point so I still think I got a good deal."

We are very happy with our new refrigerator. Especially the bottom drawer freezer, just Wonderful. The Automatic ice maker works perfect. And I really like the french doors, with one exception. The french doors will not close on their own, you really have to push them to get them closed; they do send you a warning beep if the doors are open, but my husband is hard of hearing and did not notice they were ajar, and they were open all night. needless to say food was thrown away. So push on the doors.
otherwise a nice refrigerator

It is two inches narrower than the previous refrigerator, but it is plenty big enough for the two of us. I think an egg basket would be an improvement. The French door design is good for quickly finding things. I like having the freezer on the bottom. It makes retrival of items that are used the most easier.

I was extremely excited to find a stainless steel front refrigerator in the french door style in this size. It is harder and harder to find a smaller size refrigerator with the same options as the larger ones. Manufactures have to understand that not all of us live in hugh houses, or have hugh kitchens. I love this refrigerator alot except I feel that the can holder should be an option, and they should offer a larger deli draw instead like on the larger models. But otherwise it is wonderful, I could fit everything, without a problem. You can fit a gallon of milk on the door as they state and you have three choices of ice cube size. It is so quiet, and the instruction manuel was easy to read. It looks beautiful in my kitchen. My sister purchased a larger LG 3 years ago and has had no problems. The Home Depot price was hard to beat. My delivery date was rescheduled due to a snowstorm but LG's and Home Depot's Customer Services were both exceptional, as well as the delivery service. I would not hesitate to buy another appliance from them.

I just got the refrigerator 2 weeks ago and I love it. I had read reviews that the icemaker was noisy but I don't think it is that bad. We needed a smaller refrigerator and this did the trick. I would recommend this to a friend.

Very pretty fridge - the stainless steel front is very nice, and the grey steel (not stainless) sides match well. I was hoping for a little more room in the fridge part, as opposed to the freezer section, but it is standard for this size fridge. The doors are beautiful, and convenient. Yes, you do have to usually open both doors just to reach in, but so what. The shelves are fully modifiable and customizable. There wasn't as much space as I hoped for, but with a little adjusting I managed to fit most of my gear. The doors do hold gallon size milk/juice, but then leaves little room for the other ketchup/butter/pickles jars you normally put there.
I was surprised by how much effort was needed to close the doors. The seal is tight, and you can't just shove it gently closed. You need a good shove, usually with a follow-up firm close. Otherwise the door sort of halfcloses. I don't think the open door alarm is triggered either by this half-closed state. The door alarm is not too loud nor annoying.
The freezer section and icemaker is well designed with shelves and separators. I did make sure to shut off the icemaker after it filled up, so I didn't have any problems with that, but I can see how the ice can easily spill over the sides and make a mess.
The fridge is not noisy, but you do hear it turning on, running and turning off. Not annoying to me, but it's there.
I really regret not getting a fridge with a water dispenser, which I had on my old fridge, but we prioritized stainless steel over function. This size black/white fridges did fit a dispenser, but not the stainless steel ones. Pity. Now we had to get back to using Brita filter system.
Four out of five stars only because I am disappointed that my kitchen wouldn't fit a bigger fridge. The unit is nice, decently quiet, and hopefully lower energy using.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I've had this fridge for about a week now and it's great. It's quiet and fits perfectly in my small kitchen. The middle temperature setting keeps food and beverages very cold. The shelves and bins are easy to remove so they can be arranged the way you want them. The deeper shelves on the doors free up tons of space inside the fridge.
Yes, I recommend this product.

We purchased this refrigerator after months research for our new home and we are very happy with it. Initially we thought we have no other choice than to go for counter depth which is very expensive. But recently got to know about this LG model and found it to fit in our refrigerator space nicely. for less than 20 cu ft it seems to have lots of space and freezer is big too. we like the way the shelves are in two columns giving options to arrange different size items in each column. over all nice refrigerator and french door style adds to the look. Its just been couple of days that we bought this product. no problems it runs fine, very quiet, ice maker is good too.
would have been excellent if the refrigerator width is little bit more.
Yes, I recommend this product.

A Great Refrigerator
On 04-25-2009 purchased LG LFC20760SW in Bellevue, WA store. Paid $1,192.55. Free delivery and free hall away. Delivered 3 days later.
By mid-April 2009 we were actively looking for a new fridge to fit in 32"(W) x 68½"(H) available space in our kitchen. Then right away I found that the available choices are not too many. Besides the dimensions a great freezer section and a built-in ice maker was a must. Functionality and overall appearance were important aspects too. Energy efficient features: it is good to be green. Our price constraint was to spend no more than $1500.
The pictures and sales brochures always look great but before I buy, I usually want to spend some time playing with the product I am researching and considering.
The bottom-freezer, French-door style was not our first choice until I ran into the LG LFC20760** (“SW” white, “ST” stainless steel or “SB” black) models. Showed to my wife some pictures and product specs of (here on The Home Depot’s web-site and from manufacturer’s web site). She liked the look and overall design.
Bottom freezer meant that the food in the refrigerator section is within an easy reach. I agreed as I don’t open twenty or more times per day the freezer while I do that for the refrigerator. At the same time, the location for the crisper bins with all of the fruits and vegetables moved closer to me. I like repeating myself that eating balanced and healthy means more, as fresh as possible fruits and vegetables and less vitamin supplements. With the French door design as soon as you open the doors you will be reminded to check the crisper bins too.
The near “The Home Depot” store didn’t have any of these LG LFC20760** refrigerators on display but they had in the store few larger and bigger LGs from the same product line. After I tested a little larger unit in the store I was sold to the smaller unit that would fit in our space.
For a good surprise, the sales assistant at “The Home Depot” told me that because this product is an Energy Star rated appliance they will take off 10% of the price right away. So no hassle of sending product registration, receipts and so on to our utility company to get refunds or rebates (you may check what options are available for you here on EnergyStar’s website.). At the same time, the delivery and haul away were free. Bought it instantly while I was in the store; paid less than $1200 with all taxes included.
Three days later the fridge was delivered at home. It was installed within less than half an hour. The doors and freezer drawer had to be removed and attached. Connecting a new icemaker line (a tubing line) required opening and closing of a panel cover at the back. Overall: professional, fast and clean installation. The old was gone and the new one started running.
It takes a little time to discover how the new fridge behaves. We left the temperature controls (one for the fridge, and another for the freezer) set at 4 (default). The fridge is quiet. If you leave the doors or freezer drawer open longer then you will hear the sound alarm. Very nice! Two hours later the ice maker made couple of ice cubes. The ice-maker is noisy. This is something you cannot hear around display units at the show rooms because the appliances there are not powered as refrigerators/freezers thus no running icemaker too.
The overall 19.7 cu.ft. volume of LG LFC20760** [refrigerator: 13.4 cu.ft.; freezer: 6.3 cu.ft.] is greater than the volume of our old refrigerator. It looked like the refrigerator offers less space than we had before but we have much larger freezer now.
There is a left and a right set of shelves in the refrigerator; as a result there a good flexibility arranging the inner space. We removed the can dispenser as it occupied too much space (we usually don’t put so many cans in the fridge - it takes 13 cans to fill up the can dispenser. There is an icemaker; couple of ice cubes per can serve the purpose.)
The door racks offer good storage space; still combined it is less than the single door space. We have the French doors: perceived as a factor in better energy efficient appliance while offering a better look. Yes, the French doors are factor in the energy savings if you have one of the doors left opened for shorter intervals; but imagine if you opened both doors or kept one of the doors opened long enough?
The freezer is excellent! It is roomy and you can store a whole turkey or use the divider to partition the space. If you are well organized you don’t have to go to the bottom of the freezer section to find what you look for. A help in that direction provides the glide-out drawer basket in the freezer. It is very convenient when pulling out the ice bin or reaching some other items on the basket. When pushing it back the ice bin may hit the feeler arm of the ice maker; if this is the case then the feeler and the bin slightly move and allow you to return the basket in the normal position without any other issues.
A week later after the appliance is running, both temperature controls are still set at 4 (the available positions are from 1 to 7). The temperature in the refrigerator is ~ 40 Fahrenheit; the freezer maintains ~ 2 Fahrenheit. It is likely we may need to re-adjust these dials in the summer and winter.
I and my wife like the refrigerator very much. Our little girl doesn’t use the fridge yet but from what she can express – I can say she likes it too. We can store more food in the freezer section and always have a gallon or two of ice cream there. We have a convenient and a flexible in organizing a refrigerator section. Overall LG LFC20760** is a great appliance. Excellent price!
p.s. I found interesting that not a single manufacturer offers more than 1 (one) year standard warranty on their refrigerators. I am not a believer in the extended warranty. I hope our LG LFC20760SW will run without any problems for at least 10 or so years. Will see.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Needed a 30" refrigerator in a small kitchen with limited door swing space--this was (summer 2008) and remains (spring 2009) the best solution and the only 30 inch wide french door fridge.
Have had it installed for about 9 months now, and am very happy. Maintains correct and consistent temperature, holds more than you'd think, very, very quiet (except for ice maker, which is loud). Gallon storage in door is convenient. Overall, a great solution for the small kitchen.
Only dislikes are that the interior fittings are bulky plastic (would prefer something more space-efficient like Liebherr and Fagor) and that the door hinges aren't hidden. Both are minor quibbles; overall, we are very happy with this fridge. Note that the buying experience at homedepot.com was also great, with good pricing, prompt delivery and careful haul-away.
Yes, I recommend this product.

We decided to update the appliances in our kitchen and needed a refridgerator with a 30" width. There are few choices out there but saw this LG and chose it. We previously had a side by side and thought that this would be equivalent storage. Well, it's not. I'm not a big fan of the bottom freezer. Things seem to get lost in the big tub. There is a shelf with the ice maker but be careful if the ice tray gets too full. The ice will catch when you open the drawer and fall out. We have also had trouble with the basket in the drawer shifting so that it hits the back roller and makes a clunking sound. Overall it's a nice looking fridge and for the two of us, adequate. But definitely a change from the regular side by side. I would recommend if you need to fill a small space. Home Depot's delivery was great.
Yes, I recommend this product.
