A superior product,

"I am very impressed with this dishwasher because of its quiet operation and how well it cleans and sanitizes. It is so quiet that the first time I used it I thought it was not working and opened to check it. It was working fine. The dishes come out spotless and squeaky clean. I bought an LG because of the reputation it has and replaced a malfunctioning top brand name dishwasher and after my initial experiences I will stay with the LG brand from now on."

"This dishwasher has a lot going for it: Looks. It's quiet. Versatile loading. Stainless steel tub.
But where it counts -- cleaning dishes -- it's the pits. You virtually have to hand wash the dishes before putting in the dishwasher if you want them to come out clean.
I've owned multiple dishwashers over the past 40+ years and this dishwasher is one of the worst at cleaning I've ever used."

HANDS DOWN AWESOME,

"This dishwasher is GREAT! Dont listen to the negative feedback. This thing runs quiet, smooth, and the only thing that might get on someones nerves is that it takes a little longer for each cycle. But it doesnt bother me! I would much rather it take longer and be ENERGY efficient then than NOT. It saves money in the long run. We Love ours, Its gorgeous! We got ours on Black Friday! The best deal ever!!! I use the cascade pockets with the wetjet inside, it works like a champ!"

Perfect,
November 24, 2009

"I was so leary after reading multi reviews from so many sites that were a mix of good and bad. Well, I am relieved as this washer has not let me down. I originally purchased it at the sell price of 799.00. The day after it was installed it went down to 598.00. Thank you Home Depot for giving me the difference.
The dishwasher is amazing. Silent, roomy, cleans the dishes PERFECT and dries them just fine. I like the fact that the upper drawer can be raised or lowered. I would not have known till I read the directions.
My old dishwasher was newer and miserable.
My Emeril pots & pans have never shined so well. I have so much more room in this dishwasher.
If you rinse a bit, use the correct soap products ( I was using Cascade bars & Cascade Jet Dry) I don't see why your dishes should not be as clean as mine.
I say take a leap of faith and purchase and always buy the 5 yr. warranty plan "Just in Case"
Lovin Mine..

A solid 4,

"This dishwasher is a hundred times better than what we originally had in our house. However, I will say it's still a little noisy compared to what we were told by the salesperson in the store. I ended up looking at 3 or 4 dishwashers, but went off the salesperson's recommendation. I will say, it can clean ANYTHING (we broke it in with a dinner party for 10). I would recommend this to a friend, with the warning that it isn't whisper quiet."

Better than described by others,

"I read these reviews after purchasing the LG dishwasher and was really worried that I had made the wrong choice. But after installing it and cleaning the dishes with it, I am thoroughly delighted. As for the drying issues: it does not have a heating element to dry dishes like my old one, but using the recommended Jet-Dry is no big deal and they come out as dry as can be. It keeps me from making the dreaded error of putting plastic on the bottom that melts as a heating element heats up like my last dishwasher did. I will say if you don't use the Jet-Dry the dishes come out wetter but I was used to turning the heat dry off on the old machine anyway so this is no real stretch for me. It is so adjustablea and my biggest pot fits with many inches to spare. I love the steam feature, and it is the quietest thing you never hear!!!"

DOESN'T DRY THE DISHES! Pools Water at the Bottom!,
November 6, 2009
By ShabKitchy
"Sorry to have to write an unfavorable review but I wish I had done a little more research before deciding to go with this model. This unit doesn't not dry the dishes. It seems that as part of LG's effort to increase energy efficency it drys the dishes somehow internally whereas the moisture is self-contained in the unit. Not like the old time dishwashers that blew the steam outside of the unit. The result? Wet Dishes and a Pool of water at the bottom of the Tub! You would have to leave the door open overnight and let everything air dry. Does this make any sense? Not to mention it takes a very long time to run even a regular cycle. One positive it that is it pretty quiet."

Nice Machine,

"I bought this dishwasher about 6 months ago. It slid right into place, was easy to hook up, and does an excellent job. The grate on top of the silverware basket takes a little getting used to, but once you play with it, you learn how to use it effectively. What I like the most about this unit is that the top tray isn't flat, it has different depths for different size glasses, so even taller glasses fit in perfectly. I had some issues with water spots, but that really wasn't the dishwashers fault. I bought a water softener, and those went away. I highly recommend this dishwasher, as it was easy to install and it runs great."

Great Dishwasher!!,
October 22, 2009
By Alant40
"This unit is very nice. Haven't had any of the problems I'm reading about. Dishes come out sparkling clean and dry with no spots. Some dishes I didn't even bother to rinse first, just scraped of excess and placed in washer. One of the problems some may be having may have to do with the temp of their water. I make sure to run the water first in the sink until it gets hot, then run the washer. Ever take a shower and have to wait a few seconds for the water to get piping hot. If you run the unit in the middle of the night and your water hasn't run for sometime, your dishes may not come clean with cold water. Although I understand these units heat the water. I read somewhere in the book where it says to make sure your water is a certain temp before running the DW. So that's my take. I also have an LG Side by side and an electric range. No problems with LG at all!!"

Not worth the cost.,

"This dishwasher is terrible. Doesn't clean anything no matter how well you rinse the dishes. Regular cycle time is 2 hours! Forget about trying to clean pots and pans. It doesn't even have enough power to rinse all the soap out of the soap dispenser. Rubber seals are falling off; had to remove the grated lids that cover the utensil basket because they were a nuisance. Knives and utensil handles fall through the bottom of the basket because the openings in the grate pattern are too big so half the time I'm reaching in there to find out why the rack won't pull out. Rack configuration makes no sense and loading is a challenge. And yes, I know how to load and have had a dishwasher for 25 years. My 10 year old dishwasher performed better then this one. This is not worth it and I'm only sorry that I didn't immediately return it! Now I'm stuck with it and it is a daily source of aggravation!"

Great dishwash,

By PittburgherPeguins

"I purchased this dishwash despite some of the bad reviews, and so far, I'm very happy with it. The dishes stacks much better than my old GE dishwasher, and the dishes came out sparkling clean. Also, it's much quieter than the previous one I had.
It does take about 2 hours to do a single load of dishes, but that's not so much an issue for me."

Love this dishwasher,
June 17, 2009
By madsmom

"We built a new house and needed all new appliances. After doing months of research, I settled on LG mainly because I could get the gas range and a french door fridge (second choices were Samsung but they don't offer a gas range, or Frigidaire but they don't offer a FD fridge). I was very skeptical about LG after reading some negative reviews. But I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. This dishwasher is wonderful. It is so quiet that we weren't even sure it was running. My dishes come out clean and dry every time. I think my favorite feature is the delay start. I had one of my old dw but it was a dial that was an approx. time. On this LG, it's digital so I can choose the exact amount of hours I want to delay. We've had it for almost a month now, and I have no complaints. I would recommend this dw to anyone."

LG dishwasher,
April 3, 2009
By TeresaB
from Central Illinois, IL
"We purchased all new LG appliances for our kitchen and we have not been very happy with any of them. You have to be careful how you load the machine or your dishes do not come out clean. The way you have to load them is not very user friends or if you have common sense not the machine for you. This dishwasher makes a high pitched noise, when service man came could not get it to repeat, once he left it did. Dishes never dry they are always moist even when they sit over night into the next afternoon in the dishwasher. We had an apartment sized portable dishwasher prior to this one and it was lots better. Not worth the money. Also when you use the dish washer it leaves a really wet spot on the floor where the vent is."

"Anybody want to buy this joke? Motor burnt out on mine and 2 other people I know. I could go on and on. Read the reviews and decide if a $800 dishwasher should have this many bad remarks."
