"This dishwasher has a lot going for it: Looks. It's quiet. Versatile loading. Stainless steel tub.
But where it counts -- cleaning dishes -- it's the pits. You virtually have to hand wash the dishes before putting in the dishwasher if you want them to come out clean.
I've owned multiple dishwashers over the past 40+ years and this dishwasher is one of the worst at cleaning I've ever used."

Better than described by others,
November 8, 2009
"I read these reviews after purchasing the LG dishwasher and was really worried that I had made the wrong choice. But after installing it and cleaning the dishes with it, I am thoroughly delighted. As for the drying issues: it does not have a heating element to dry dishes like my old one, but using the recommended Jet-Dry is no big deal and they come out as dry as can be. It keeps me from making the dreaded error of putting plastic on the bottom that melts as a heating element heats up like my last dishwasher did. I will say if you don't use the Jet-Dry the dishes come out wetter but I was used to turning the heat dry off on the old machine anyway so this is no real stretch for me. It is so adjustablea and my biggest pot fits with many inches to spare. I love the steam feature, and it is the quietest thing you never hear!!!"

DOESN'T DRY THE DISHES! Pools Water at the Bottom!,
November 6, 2009
"Sorry to have to write an unfavorable review but I wish I had done a little more research before deciding to go with this model. This unit doesn't not dry the dishes. It seems that as part of LG's effort to increase energy efficency it drys the dishes somehow internally whereas the moisture is self-contained in the unit. Not like the old time dishwashers that blew the steam outside of the unit. The result? Wet Dishes and a Pool of water at the bottom of the Tub! You would have to leave the door open overnight and let everything air dry. Does this make any sense? Not to mention it takes a very long time to run even a regular cycle. One positive it that is it pretty quiet."

LG dishwasher,

"We purchased all new LG appliances for our kitchen and we have not been very happy with any of them. You have to be careful how you load the machine or your dishes do not come out clean. The way you have to load them is not very user friends or if you have common sense not the machine for you. This dishwasher makes a high pitched noise, when service man came could not get it to repeat, once he left it did. Dishes never dry they are always moist even when they sit over night into the next afternoon in the dishwasher. We had an apartment sized portable dishwasher prior to this one and it was lots better. Not worth the money. Also when you use the dish washer it leaves a really wet spot on the floor where the vent is."

Washing by hand,

"Anybody want to buy this joke? Motor burnt out on mine and 2 other people I know. I could go on and on. Read the reviews and decide if a $800 dishwasher should have this many bad remarks."
