Probably the best dishwasher that we have owned (out of 6 units from different manufacturers). Looks good and does the job.

This machine operates very quietly and is very roomy. Only thing interesting is that it is stainless, yet refrigerator magnets stick to it...that don't stick to my GE Refrigerator. Was told that means the stainless is of lesser quality. No complaints so far (1 month).
Yes, I recommend this product.

Since installation we noticed the dishes weren't very clean. Not sure what the Power Scrub option does really. We have to prewash or run the chance to handwashing the whole load. Just before the one year waranty was about to expire, the water pump went out. Maybe we were the unlucky ones who got the lemon.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I felt compelled to write a review as I am on line and wishing I could buy this dishwasher again. I remodeled a house we just moved away from in summer 2007 and put all LG appliances in, including this dishwasher. It is gorgeous and super, super quiet, and cleans dishes and glasses spotlessly (Is that a word?) You really have to stop, turn off radios, TV's, etc. to hear this thing running. We have had absolutely no trouble with this machine mechanically. The house I am in now has a terrible machine that is loud and leaves all kinds of white splotches on everything. I am longing for my trusted LG. (FYI - we do not have a water softener in either home)
Yes, I recommend this product.

I've had it serviced 3 times and the 3rd repairman is on his way back in the same day because it's STILL stopping mid-cycle. If you buy this dishwasher, buy the extended service plan.

Been waiting for months to replace my dead dIshwasher and the HD Black Friday sale saved me a bundle! The tall tub SS DW is great, love all the basic features and man is it quiet - old DW sounded like a jet landing in the kitchen - made it hard to watch TV in the next room. Anyway, I am now a huge LG believer - own 4 LG appliances - they are not the cheapest, but they are very functional and reliable. Thanks HD!

Warning: This dishwasher has problems. Maybe we got a lemon, but in two years it has had its Direct Drive replaced twice. Now it sounds so loud again!! - its like a helicopter taking off in my kitchen. Service is coming out again (but its out of warranty now, so- $$) LG should repair it right or replace this monster.

I bought one of these specifically because of the lifetime warranty. Then
the stainless steel tub came away from the side of the dishwasher.. We called lg and they said tough.
Our lifetime gxuarantee does not cover that. SO BEWARE they lie through their teeth. I will never buy another product from this company EVER and recommend you don't either!

We have had this dishwasher for 9 months. We haven't had any problems with dishes not being clean like other reviews state, but you definitely need to use a rinse aid to help dry the dishes. The first problem we noticed is the horrible smell when we leave the door closed. Never had this problem with our old dishwasher. We finally just left the door open to air it out, which isn't very convenient. Last week, we bought the Arm & Hammer refrigerator deodorizer that has a suction cup we can stick to the inside of the door. It seems to be working so far, as long as we remember to remove it before running. Two weeks ago we got the E1 error and called LG. The repairman didn't even inspect the machine and immediately said he needed to install a bushing that would fix the problem. He said it was a problem that occurred with this dishwasher over time, and LG finally figured out what was causing it. He also said this same issue can cause the problems other people have had with dirty dishes and the detergent not dissolving because not enough water is pumped in. Our dishwasher has been running fine for the past two weeks. We hope it lasts.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I was very skeptical about buying this dishwasher after reading all of the bad reviews. However, I was in a bind because the cut-out under our cabinet is an odd size so our options were limited to dishwashers that would fit.
We've had this dishwasher for almost 3 weeks now. I'm happy to say that we haven't experienced any of the problems that others have described. (Of course, I'm keeping my fingers crossed).
Sound : Very quiet. Does sound a little like the spaceship others have mentioned but very softly. I tend to hear that only at certain points of the cycle though. Otherwise, you wouldn't know that it was running at all.
Cleaning: This DW does a great job of cleaning glasses, dishes, pots and pans. No messy water spots that others have reported. I don't hand wash my dishes before putting them in, I just rinse food particles off like I would with any other DW. I do use Cascade tablets and the rinse aid as recommended. No problems with anything coming out dirty. I haven't experienced any unpleasant odor during any of the cleaning cycles that other reviews mention.
Drying: Very satisfactory. The only water residue that I encounter from time to time is a tiny bit that might be standing in a glass with a concave bottom. Plastic items are dry as well. A big improvement over my old DW.
Size and functionality: I absolutely love the tall tub feature. I can wash so much more in this DW than my old one. I like the configuration of the utensil baskets. I haven't had any difficulty with racks coming off the tracks that some people have had a problem with. The door does open very widely ( like all the way down) but doesn't "flop" - it has some sort of mechanism that allows you to open it to a point and it stays there. I can see that this might annoy some people who are taller - I'm only 5'1" so this isn't an issue for me.
Exterior: We have the stainless steel model and it is really attractive. Love the hidden controls. Sleek, clean lines.
Note: As I've had this appliance only a short amount of time, I'll come back and update my review periodically. Thus far, very happy with this purchase. At this time I would definitely recommend it.
Yes, I recommend this product.

8 out of 10 times this dishwasher is used, error code E1 is displayed and the cycle needs to be cancelled and the dishwasher restarted again. LG was contacted since the dishwasher is under warranty and a service technician was finally found after 10 days and determined that the water fill assembly, pump/motor assembly and the main circuit board needed to be replaced. The parts were ordered and replaced by the technician and a new error code LE showed up and the technician said that the pump/motor assembly is defective and needs to be replaced. This has been going on for thirty days and the dishwasher still does not work. LG has not been very helpful in resolving the problems with this dishwasher.
No, I do not recommend this product.

We bought this brand for it's reputation. The dishwasher has gotten louder over the 1 year and 3 weeks it has been in our home. It has started leaking water from the bottom of the front door this week. I googled this problem & it is very common in Models #s under 900. Our LG washer & dryer are great, but I absolutely do not recommend this dishwasher.

I bought an LG dishwasher a little over two years ago. In Sept the motor stopped working. It was frustating in that it was not a cheap dishwasher and I live alone so I only run the dishwasher 2-3 times a week. Poor quality I will never buy an LG product again

This LG dishwasher holds so many dishes including platters, wine glasses, and service for 12+. Everything gets clean. I wish I could put my whole house in it. The only downside is the cycles are long - 2 hrs for a normal cycle. The quickwash is about an hour. Has steam feature. The fold town tiers are a must - well worth the $100 extra.

This dishwasher is so different than what I was used to but I really like it. It is SO QUIET and cleans just great. The tall body is nice because you CAN load some unbelievable stuff in there! If I had to acknowledge one thing I've had to get used to is that the door when open goes to the floor it is so low. I don't mind that, but you need to be aware so you don't jam your toes. Been there! Also, if your dishwasher is on a corner like mine is, you'll want to avoid this design because my side drawer next to my stove will not open completely because of the large sloping handle. I've accomodated by putting things in it I don't use much, so not a problem here. Enjoy it. I do!
Yes, I recommend this product.
