Knob flaws

Our knobs broke within 3 months of purchase, then again after 14 months. There is a plastic insert that cracks with use over time and make it difficult to turn on/off. We've replaced the knobs once (under warranty) and they've all broken again (same problem). The parts warranty is only one year and the knobs are $70 from the supplier. We've noticed gas leaking from the range several times as a result of not being able to turn off the range correctly. LG does not make any knobs that do not have the plastic insert that breaks.

I have 2, one at my mothers and one at home. Easy to use and very accurate temperatures. The warming pan is great and the broiler is spot on. Recommend to anyone looking for the BEST.

This oven keeps great temps - the oven works great. The stovetop has a nice heavy cast iron grid, and I recommend removing all three sections (heavy) before cleaning the range top, which is very easy to clean. The chunky knobs are light, remove easily for cleaning. The controls are easy to use. The one complaint I have is about the lip that sticks out about 1" underneath the top panel which houses the controls and clock - it prevents pots and anything taller than about 3.5" from being pushed to the far rear of the range top. I understand that this is a guard to prevent heat from reaching the control panel, but certain items just do not fit well together on the rangetop because of this restriction. Honestly, had I known this befoe buying, I would have shopped around. Also, since much of the cookware I use is cast iron and very large, there is no way I can utilize the small burner in the middle while using any other 2 burners - they are simply too close together for the size cookware I use.

Purchased. LG gas stove November 2009, 3 months after using my stove I noticed wrinkling on the face of the knobs. Contacted local distributor and was told I had to purchase new knobs at fifity dollars a piece. I was irritated to find out later the knobs are not stainless steel instead a fake stainless steel look that peels off.
No, I do not recommend this product.

The stainless steel oven looks great. The 5 bunner are a plus. It is easy enough for my 13 year old to operate the oven. The warming tray are easy to learn. Can operate the stove with out going through the owner manual. A user friendly stove should be shown in the home depot store but ask the sale representive to bring it up. I been through 3 stoves and at last I had found the right one.

I have been looking for the right range for quite some time, and have finally found it. Put together sturdily, looks beautiful, and seems to be built for professionals. Heavy duty grates, easy to read displays and efficiency, makes this range perfect. The delivery, set-up and over all service by Home Depot, and homedepot.com was the best I have experienced with a retailer in many years!

This LG gas range is practical, attractive, and versitile. It is easy to use, and provides sleek lines that add to any classy kitchen. Its removable grill plates make the oven top easy to clean. The 16K BTU burner is great for high intensity heat requirements to rapidly increase boiling temperatures. The fifth burner in the oven center is a wonderful addition to make the most use of space for cooking/warming multiple items. The only shortfall is the absence of a locking oven door option. Perhaps it has this function, and I have yet to find the trick. I am well pleased with this LG product and would recommend it to anyone.

Best home use gas range we found. Looks and built like a professional cooks stove. The surface area is maximized with the super heavy duty grates covering the whole top. You can fit any size pan on this stove.
Almost didn't buy it because the display in store was screwed up! It was shown with gray grates and the description did not mention self cleaning. After doing some research, found out the white model has gray grates and the steel has black satin grates (looks much better) and slef cleaning works very well.

It took me a long time to make up my mind.I looked at a lot of ranges ,but kept comming back to this one.They delivered it last week.I Love My Range.I'so glad I chose it.I baked a cake,it turned out great.Did'nt burn the outer edges like my old oven did.I love cooking on it.Very happy with my decision.

We purchased this stove 8 mths ago and although our stove has the rounded handles (which i like better and is exactly what we were looking for) i couldn't find that one so i decided to leave my review here! This stove is wonderful love the super boil, Not to mention it looks really nice- looks like something the pros would use, the warming drawer is a huge plus and, the self clean, works like magic! we also purchased the fridge to match and soon will be purchasing the dishwasher.
Also it cleans up like a new penny .
I love LG and all their products.....
