After researching many makes and models of refrigerators I have finally found my dream unit, The LG Model no LSC27931ST it has every feature that
I was looking for in a refrigerator.. The LG Stainless Steel Refrigerator completes most of my New Oak Kitchen that my husband has built for me. The last item that I need is an LG Stove. I'm going to start looking for one by September 15, 2009. I will be excited to have my whole kitchen complete then.

I was debating over this fridge or another brand that had the bottom freezer. I went with this based on price and budget and am so glad I did. It is very spacious and accommodates everything I need! Also I get tons of compliments on how aesthetically great it looks and how much space it offers with all my other kitchen appliances. I have been very happy and pleased with this product!

I've had my fridge since August of '08. The only problem I can think of is that it has this weird knocking sound every so often. It's not the water or ice maker, I turned those off to make sure. For some reason it will make a sound like someone is on the inside of the fridge knocking about 5-7 times. Of course it's random and by the time I get to it, it's stopped knocking. Had a service guy out and was told some do it, some don't. He waited around for a little bit and of course it wouldn't do it. Other than that, it's so quiet I have to be right next to it to hear it run.
I haven't had the problem that others are talking about with the ice maker issues.

Ice Maker dispenser

Like others, I have the same problem with the Ice Maker. Bits of ice "frosts" under the ice bin/icemaker preventing any type of ice from dispensing. I called LG and they will be sending out a tech. However, this is a design flaw that should be fixed by recalling this model. It is a true pain to clean out the dispenser every 2-3 days. The rest of the refrigerator is fine. But the icemaker problem makes this a "NO BUY".

We bought this unit 3 months ago to replace a unit ruined by hurricane Ike. The refrigerator is great, however, the in door icemaker is not. I must pull the ice bin out every 2-3 days and chip the frost-ice chips out of the shoot or be prepared for a jam up. If we don't notice the ice maker isn't dispensing properly the ice shoot becomes jammed full and hard to get the ice bin out without dropping ice all over the floor. The in door ice maker is slower than and holds less ice than a conventional ice maker. I wouldn't buy this frig again.

This fridge is a no buy, we replaced a 15 year old maytag, turns out we should have kept the Maytag, we thought we bought high quality, it is loud, the ice maker often freezes, if ice does not despense you cannot open the freezer and grab a few cubes, you must remove the whole assemble to get ice.
Do Not buy.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I had this frig for six months and the only thing I am unhappy with is the icemaker. For some reason small ice chips and/or frost builds between the ice reservoir and dispenser spout. The buildup will jam the ice spout, preventing ice from coming out. Some of the ice will melt dripping on the exterior of the frig. If you have hard water, it is not fun to remove the stains from stainless steel.
Beside the ice maker the frig is quite looks good. I have mixed feelings about recommending it to a friend.
I am about to call The Home Depot or the MFG to see if this can be fixed. If it can I will update this post.

Fantastic Refrigerator - Love at First Sight

I was forced into the market for a new refrigerator when my old one decided to just give up on me. I must have opened the doors on 50 refrigerators before deciding on this model. This refrigerator is simply a work of art. The LED control panel conveys all pertinent information relative to the operation of the unit (freezer and refrigerator temp, ice status and etc). I really like the integration of the ice maker unit into the freezer door, which frees up additional space in the freezer. The ice storage bin is a little smaller than I'm accustomed to, but the refrigerator produces 6 cubes of ice in about 75 minutes in the standard mode. Engaging the Ice Maker Plus feature increases ice production by 20 percent. I'm also very impressed with how quiet this unit is compared to my old refrigerator.
So, if you're in the market for a refrigerator that makes a statement in your kitchen with its ultra modern styling, has large capacity in both the freezer and refrigerator, and performs silently then this beauty will do it with style and class.
