When it breaks down it is a pain to try to get it fixed. We had to fight like heck for three and a half months and they finally sent us a check for replacemeent..This was 1 1/2 years old. think about any GE products.

I did my research on this one. I was coming from a beautiful built in so I was skeptical. But this GE has plenty of space, NO NOISE which is really important and I love the pull out shelves and the flexibility of the shelving in general. I'm still getting used to a bottom freezer, but it's really big and spacy. I'm happy

Purchased this refrigerator during the incrediable sale days. It arrived to the store as scheduled. Jill in special services was fantastic when I picked it up, she quickly had it out to the loading zone and was off to set it up at home. Had to remove the handles on the refrig. door, which had set screws for easy removal. The room in this refrig. is fantastic and draws are wonderful. It is so quiet! Ice maker was full the next morning and ready to go. Led light is great. Replaced my GE side by side after 21 years and still running, but was getting a little noisy. This is a quality refrigerator.

This refrigerator is well worth the money. Works great, lots of space, particularly love the flip up shelf for taller items such as wine etc. Only change would be shows fingerprints way too easily.

This fridge is amazing. Have not had any ice making issues, the following am after plugging in the ice bin was full. Runs very quiet. Love the freezer section and the sections for frozen canned juices, pizza, individual drawers.
The fridge shelves are great for various sized items....love the large veggie drawer...and the lighting is great. Water taste great and comes out very cold, ice isn't even needed.

If you're coming from a side by side, you may have a hard time adjusting to the new french door. It didn't look like everything would fit from the old one but it did. In my opinion, there's more refrigerator space then a SBS. You just have to adjust how you fill it. Also, we did our research on all the new French Door models and they all seem to have problems with the ice makers in the doors. They just don't make them like they use to. our old Kenmore SBS lasted 18 years with no problems but these new ones aren't builit the same way. The ice maker is extremely loud when it drops ice and you can hear the water line every now and then. My husband is a Refrigerator mech so I'm not too worried. It is a beautiful fridge especially in S. Steel atho when the Grandkids come over, you don't have to wipe the fingerprints, which I'm not used to. We actually laugh when we hear the ice maker because we were expecting that to happen. Like I said before, all the brands out there seem to have these problems these days so i don't think you'll get away from these Ice maker problems whichever you go with. I really do like the freezer on the bottom only if you get the freezer drawer that comes out with it. Makes all the difference in the world.

Bad Product (Ice Maker)

My ice maker quit working 2 weeks after warranty run out. How convenient! Did all the basic fixes, put bypass plug in, bought new $40 filter, etc. I then tear it apart to see if any obvious problem. The real problem is not made by GE, it's actually a Samsung. From past experience I know that Samsung products are garbage. Do not buy this product. You will end up getting a bad deal all way around. I am an electronics technician, so very experienced fixing things.

I love this style refrigerator! It is much easier to organize and store food in the refrigerator and treezer than in the side by side I had for years. I almost bought the GE Profile side by side but was so impressed by access in the refrigerator and freezer I changed my mind. The freezer is deep with easy access drawers and convenient places to store food. This freezer holds more than my comparable side by side freezer could hold. Two drawbacks...my husband insists this refrigerator is noisier than our old GE side. The center drawer in the refrigerator comes off the track when you open when you open the drawer. I plan to call for a service visit on this matter.

Had the refrigerator a little over a year. Ice maker just went, repairman ordered me a new one - has not yet been installed. Now the display is blinking 88-88, I am in hopes the temp is still good! Should have listened to the other reviews. Looks like I will need a new board!!!!

We remodeled our kitchen and went with GE profiles for all our appliances. We like the configuration of the fridge and it has plenty of room and the shelves are adjustable, a big plus. We only have one negative comment, the ice depenser sometimes jams.

The main reason we decided to purchase a new refrigerator was because of energy conservation. Our existing fridge was given to us from our parents and was over 20 years old. We will be getting $100 back from our electric company by giving them the old fridge and buying a EnergyStar certified one. We did a lot of research on Consumer Reports and the web. We also read the existing reviews for this product. Overall, we are very pleased! We like the humidity control for the vegetables/fruit. There's plenty of room and almost all the shelves are adjustable to meet your needs. A concern seemed to be the ice maker; however, it hasn't been an issue for us--family of 4. Great fridge!!

very nice fridge and freezer good size for our family but we were less than happy with the set up of the fridge setup seemed much larger empty the freezer is huge

We have been shopping for a fridge for about a month and finally had to make a dicision. We were going to go with the smaller version of this fridge but decided to go with this model and we are so glad. The fridge is quiet, big enough for a family of 4 and with more options than we planned on but are glad to have. The party drawer at the bottom of the fridge is an added bonus. It holds platters and pizzas and for teenagers that is a must. We get plenty of ice and the water tastes clean and fresh. The freezer is deep and holds plenty and the top freezer drawer is great for the things you use more often.....like veggies and ice cream.
Overall....this is an excellant choice for a medium size family and looks beautiful!!!

Beautiful fridge and very nice and user friendly. But the huge downfall is the ice maker is terrible. Makes about 60 small cubes a day. If you like ice this is not the unit for you. The ice maker is in the refrigerator so can't make it cooler and it only makes 5 cubes every 80-120 minutes. Took back and got the profile side by side and it's got a great ice maker all though not as nice as the french but size and ice are most important. If not an ice person then this is an awesome refrigerator.

I looked all over and found no one brand or product that got rave reviews. So I decided to go on what our family was looking for. I LOVE this fridge. It is SOOO quiet. We have no problem with the ice maker at all and the water taste great, we have hard water. The 1st night we had it the ice bucket was full in the morning. The doors don't stick at all and the whole design is fantastic. I was looking for a side by side at first but realizing I hate struggling to get my fruits and veggies out of the bottom bin I decided on this and couldn't be happier. The only thing I would suggest have it delivered and set up. It is a huge and heavy unit. It took my set up guys almost 2 hours to get it in and set it. They did great though. All in all this is an amazing and beauiful fridge. Don't hesitate to buy.

The refrigerator has a nice design but only produces about 20 cubes of ice a day. There are just two people in our family and we have to buy ice on a regular basis.
The humidity drawers are nice and vegetables stay fresh longer than my old refrigerator.
The "drip pan" under the ice/water is too small and has to be spunged out daily or it overflows. If you are used to a lot of bottles or condiment this is NOT the refrigerator for you.
There is a suction to the freezer and the drawer is hard to open.
Overall, I wish I had bought a side by side.
